Honestly if we finish top 8 this season and have a decent cup run somewhere that should be seen as a massive improvement from Ange ball 17thdom.

Top 8, and a decent cup run is better than Europa League winners and League cup Semi-Final?

Ange's recent interview confirmed that he was asked by the club to win a trophy as his top priority. I cannot image Spurs fired him and then told the next guy - 8th will do mate; here's 200m of new players to help you get that.

Anything less than a top 4 finish and a domestic trophy would be a total failure given the money Spurs have spent.

Not to mention he's clearly an upgrade on Johnson who we dropped 50m quid on who looks like a league 1 player unless you build the entire team around his finishing.

Oh dear god. So Odobert, who has 3 goals, and 1 assist over 2 seasons at Spurs is better than Johnson (who scored 20 last season, and has more goals than Odobert's entire spurs career this season!)

It will improve over time, but perhaps not fast enough for some. For me I am more realistic- the club did not outfit this squad properly, and we've been massively overrated by our own fans. There's a lot of work to be done to develop these players yet, and we're basically back at the start of it all now. Patience!
The players already look like they dont want to play for him. Many of them are far better than what we are seeing... he is not developing any of them. Time to go.

If we don't make a massive move for a LW this winter, we'll all seriously need to cut Frank some slack- we'll just not be competitive as the other top clubs and there'll be no debating about that.
You cannot use last season as a benchmark. There was context. Its like me saying Frank has to win a cup or its a massive failure and the manager should be sacked. At the start of each season we should be challenging for the top 4 and going deep in the cups because we are a massive club. I can't believe how many people see 8th as a good finish. It's like the Sugar years all over again. Frank has to go. Not good enough. Never will be.

Devils advocate.

Frank has turned a side that finished 17th into one that looks like it might finish top 8 and is still competing in the Champions League.

The team’s crap. Not the manager.

Lost Son and Maddison in all that too.
Completely disagree. This squad is way better than what we are seeing and you really need to stop using last season as a benchmark to think 8th is acceptable. It isn't.

I’m not quite as kneejerk as a few of you guys but definitely not happy with how it’s going

I suppose we can compare it with Poch’s first season, he too struggled early on to make us an attacking threat but it did click and we started scoring, I’m hoping that will happen with Frank aswell, but would be nice to at least see some signs

No matter who we put in midfield recently - everyone (except single moments from Palhinha) look shit these days.

And the combination for which many had high hopes (Palh, Sarr, Xavi) was even worse than setup with Bent and Palh we used recently for the most of the time.

Maybe we lack qualify here and there - but tactics we use definitely doesnt help our midfielders.

Having target man at 9 who can keep the ball and wait for our midfield runners could help - but neither Richy or Tel are capable for providing that. Fuck, Richarlison was so shit at that so we used Kudus for retaining long balls from Vicario.

Think Muani and Solanke will improve us massively - but definitely Frank need to find some new attacking patterns for our midfield - instead of just passing it to wingers and see what they create.

i most I'm not happy with the results so far, But Look at the Front 4 we have to put out ( kudus excepted) frank has to pick from Tel,Odobet,Richy,Johnson,Xavi having to carry 3 of those guys would put any team in trouble
levy's left us with an expensive pile of hopeful's or duffers

Performance was awful and Vicario saved us big time. Pointless playing 2 defensive midfielders if still, they’re getting through the middle of us at ease.

What I will say, it’s too early to judge and it is going to take a little longer than 10 or so games to transfer the team so used to losing over 50% of our games over the last 2 years.

Spurs Twitter has gone into overdrive, wouldn't surprise me to see Frank out trending over the next couple of weeks.

Still won't judge the guy fully until he gets some players back on the pitch and more time to work with the squad but what I'm seeing is really worrying, won't lie.

The problem Frank has or any manager for that matter is the home performances need to be good , that’s your bread and butter , that’s what the fans are paying up for , if he doesn’t get us playing better and results soon then the fans will turn . We’ve lost patience after watching so much crap at the new stadium . There’s no excuse for not being on the front foot at home against 90% of teams in this league .

Not to mention he's clearly an upgrade on Johnson who we dropped 50m quid on who looks like a league 1 player unless you build the entire team around his finishing.

Then you add Rich and Tel into the equation - that's a bottom 6 front-line when you take out Solanke, Maddison, Kulu, RKM (and even with them it's upper-mid table at best).

We badly need to get a proper striker in the 11 and sign a proper LW. Frank's not been brilliant but he's also been playing with one hand tied behind his back. And he's only had like 10 games ffs.
How on earth is Odobert "clearly an upgrade" ?

He's done absolutely nothing.

Twitter is a cesspool of idiots begging for attention. They know if they call for Frank out or reminisce about Ange’s first 10 games they’ll get interactions.

Anyone wanting Frank gone is embarrassing.
