The owners clearly need a kick up the arse. We will see in January if they’ve got the fight to back up their alleged words. I won’t hold my breath.

"Alleged words" here being the thing....

Really, all that Vinai has said is we'll continue to invest.... Implying that we already have been and that it'll merely be more of the same.

Not seen any quotes from the Lewis kids.

We do know they declared again in the summer that the club is not for sale though.

I will of they don't follow through with all their talk.

What talk? ......I've still not seen any 'big talk'.

Didn't know that.

The fact we signed about 3,432 members of his back room staff means it would be a costly one to scrap after a few months, but this is the basket case we've become

It's obvious why he was bought in, they've been trying to turn our club into Woolwich and want a similar approach to what Arteta has done for them, this is a long term project as far as they're concerned.

I ask this.

Were Liverpool right or wrong to get Slot, and do you blame the owners for spending 400 plus million or is the manager suddenly out of his depth?

All the evidence before today's game indicated one outcome.

And here we have it.

It's life. It ain't a good feeling, but if you have perspective and context it is far far easier.
The context is that we picked the wrong manager and he's out of his depth.

That's it, that's the context.

We are almost at the end of November and yet, still can't get a decent striker on the pitch.
Muani has played 2 games and somehow is injured again, Solanke, not even started the season. Something else must be up with him, has had all summer off almost 6 months ffs.

It’s always going to take time for managers like Frank, Iraola and similar to adapt to a job at a European club.

They haven’t had to manage 3 games in 6 days and constant squad rotation before.

I disagree with the approach to the match, but that doesn't mean I'm going to tear my hair (what's left of it) out and start demanding Frank be fired. If you're looking for meaning in today's result it is simply that it reflects where the talent level (also allowing also for injuries) of each squad is at this moment. Knowing that I think Frank had a chance to open things up and try to get on the board early to settle the team and because it was the best chance to win. In this case, being pragmatic should have meant being aggressive. Under Postecoglou we had a season that started really strong and faded. My sense of this season is it will be the other way around, stronger in the second half.

I'm angry now but I feel this is exactly how I assess this result when the pain has subsided

0.06xg is sacking territory it really is.

What's the plan now Frank?
But that was fine to you against Chelsea?

It's been heading this way for weeks. Was always going one way and if we don't get rid of him soon, this will absolutely spiral.

I got called a drama queen for a long time now, you included. It was very obvious this was coming after we struggled so much with our easy start. Has to go.

Nearly two weeks to come up with that masterplan Thomas….
5 at the back mostly picking up fresh air…
Learnt nothing from the Chelsea game at all
No intent from the start and that reeks of a coaching staff having no courage and players feeding off that
Looking at the starting lineup.....it's obvious we weren't going to create bugger all.

We threw the towel in before a punch was even thrown.

Some will say 'Well what else could Frank do"

But ultimately, he's paid a fortune to be manager and other than the PSG and Man City games ....we've looked utterly and completely clueless this season.

Sacking him is not the right decision. The next manager will come in and the same fans will want them gone when it gets tough.

He needs to improve things, obviously, but constantly sacking managers is the reason we’re the mess we are.

Its absolutely the right decision. Frank is a clueless cunt who deserves to be shot out of a cannon into the fucking sun.

Fuck Thomas Frank, and fuck any clueless gimp that supports the fetid stench of his mediocrity.

I hate the fact we are talking about this already but it won’t work. We are too big. We need big time coach. We could’ve went and got Xavi and changed the whole culture of the club in the summer but all we did was continue this rut we are in regarding managers.

Bring a proven manager. Bring some PL proven players. It's the only way to save us now.
Is this true, though? We’ve tried this before. We brought in Jose, failed. We brought in Conte. Failed/burned down.

We have bought PL proven players like Bissouma, Richarlison, Solanke, Maddison. These are all players who excelled at their former clubs in the PL. Only Maddison can be considered any sort of success and he’s been on the sideline most of his time here.

Our strongest performers are from outside the PL. VdV, Romero, Bergvall, Porro, even Spence was a Championship signing.

Is going to take time. Yes. But it would be nice to actually spot a hint of what he's trying to achieve. I can't see it. I hope I will soon tho.
