José and Conte delivered better results than Ange or Frank, but they fought with Levy and didn't get much support from the club. Despite that, I think Mourinho was past his best, it's true, and the fooball was boring, and Conte shouldn't be backed as he just wanted to bring old players that could only succeed in italian football.

About PL provem players, most of them are good buys, I don't know why you would not mention Palhinha and Kudus, probably our best players this season. Maddison was very good for us too, as was Solanke, even Bissouma played very good football for some time.
Mourinho played to our strength with counter attacking football at its best, knowing he had Kane and Son and then Bale, despite being boring. Given more transfer windows, I would trust him more than Frank ever would to get us players to play title-winning games.

Glasner is the one and he seems to be managing it.
I like him, but again we’d need patience. Palace struggled initially under him but their patience paid off.

As a fan base we need to be patient.

And before people get on at me, I know we’ve been patient waiting for a trophy, but if we want to be challenging for the bigger trophies then we need to give a manager time to develop their style.

Why does it have to be one way or the other? He need better players, yes, but todays game plan was terrible.

Nothing to offer except defending
Defending ! Did you see their first goal. How much space did we give them in front of our box. No spurs player in sight yet we have 10 men behind the ball. It’s the old defending by numbers but no one actually doing anything. Contrast to goons when we had the ball they pressed us into mistakes.

I was one who thought Conte was a breath a fresh air, with his tirade about the club. But it eventually collapsed and I agree, he was never a long term fix.

Re: Omitting Palhinha and Kudus. Well, we haven’t bought Palhinha yet and to rope Kudus in, it hasn’t been long enough for me to judge those signings/loans as a hit or miss on PL proven. So far, I do agree they’ve been some of our better performers. However, Bissouma looked great in small spurts and has been a bust overall. Same with the others I mentioned aside from Maddison.

lol I get what you are saying, but this guys style is defensive and counter attacking. Can we stomach this for the rest of the season?

I like Frank, I do. But he's not the one to change the mentality at the club imo. He's a good coach, but I don't think he is that inspiring.

Too many players at the club are used to losing and putting in these types of performances and it being ok. We should've bombed half of this lot out after finishing 17th last year and instead we gave a bunch of them contract extensions. Losing in the way we keep doing is tolerated and accepted at the club and has been for years now. There's a rot there that will take years to be rid of. And I don't think Frank is the man to do it.

I hate the fact we are talking about this already but it won’t work. We are too big. We need big time coach. We could’ve went and got Xavi and changed the whole culture of the club in the summer but all we did was continue this rut we are in regarding managers.
you might be right, but we've been at our best with a Jol , Poch, Redknapp

the "big" manager didn't do as well in Jose or Conte and both treated the club as a job and never fell for us .

Iraola type fits, young progressive and most importantly attacking *while being tactically aware

Actually I'm getting close to frank out, these stats are Unforgivable.

I have not seen one game under Frank where we have been at it and on top of the oppo for most of the game or even have some sort of control. We are so slow and lax it’s unbelievable. We don’t even look fired up with any passion. All we see is PE teacher and his staff scribbling away making notes. Not sure when they are used but certainly not during games.

That’s fair. It will take someone with a lot of character and courage to fix the ingrained problems at the club.

I’ll give Frank more time but if he’s not going to get any top class players to work with then I’m not sure he’s got enough to do it on his own. Arteta is a good manager but he was also able to work with talismanic players like Saka, Gabriel, Odegaard, Rice etc. We don’t have one player on that level.

Vinai was the one who earmaked him, he said that in the Promo video.

You think the club would allow Levy to pick the manager knowing that he'd get canned 2 months later, I don't think so.

Unfortunately this is true.

Frank was sold to the fans as the new regime's new appointment, clean sweep etc

So it's likely we are stuck with him.

I'm not going to be vocally Frank out like I was with Ange. not yet anyway. But let's just say I'm apathetic. I don't see it with Frank, I also don't see it for many of our players.

We are shit from top to bottom.
