Focus this year should be to win a domestic trophy and qualify for the CL again via the league. Targets for next season will be dependent on the ambition shown by the club in the summer transfer window.

Buying Semenya from Bournemouth to play on our left flank, Adam Wharton to replace the on-loan Palhinha, and bringing Harry Kane home to break the PL scoring record would be a massive sign on intent. It would cost the best part of £250m, but would mean we can challenge for the big prizes.

I think we’d also need to add an established striker to do that.
Agreed , I’d happily cash in on Richie this window and take the money for a better striker and just stick with Tel and Solanke , its mad as if you stick Kane and son from a few seasons ago into this team and I think we are would be on 21 points now going into the international break , for years we failed to build a proper team around them 2 and now they are gone , it’s the 2 positions we need to complete the puzzle!

Are they feasible targets?

Absolutely LOVE that. Note that it put smiles on the faces of a few of the players too, they were all pleased for him.

Just how much more do you want to perform for a manager that does that for you?
I mentioned this after the City game, one of the players ran over to TF and said "Fuck me it worked".

The players have to believe in what TF is teaching them, they've spent the last 18 months playing a system that had no structure, that takes time and results to break.

Like others I'm concerned, but understanding of the offense issues. The defense (though still having brain fart moments) is now actually playing like a defense and the midfield is not hanging them out to dry.

What it will take is some time and patience, mostly from us the fans.

Just as well we're in the top 4 and doing well right now then, with Solanke, Kulusevski, Muani, Dragusin all to available soon.
I think Frank has got as good a chance as any of doing it, but getting top 4 after last season would be at the very height of expectations.

Our last 12 PL matches under Ange

5 pts (record low points score over a season)

OK we blew the Brighton last game with a collective hangover, but against that one point was AFCB 2-2 which was grand larceny

27 goals conceded (over 2 a game)

no clean sheets

He left the team in an absolute mess, no question

Trivia: I have heard that he wasn't allowed to clear his desk on the way out
Standard practice in a lot of organisations if you don’t want the individual to serve their notice. You’re preventing a disaffected employee spreading toxicity around your remaining workforce.

I had to do it with a colleague once and it may have seemed unnecessarily harsh to some people, but she was a right bitch on the best of days, so wouldn’t have ended well!

I wonder what kind of a loss we'd take on him now? Be lucky to see 30k....maybe a bit more if he goes to Saudi or MLS...

Hopefully solanke is fit for the next game now we're on a break.
The football will be improved when someone is up top who can hold and release the ball to xavi or kudus .

Glad he seems to have quickly learnt xavi needs the middle, bergvall isn't undropable, and Johnson most certainly is dropable
