That's pretty much nailed it.Ange had to go mate. His football was not sustainable. Problem is we didn't upgrade the manager position.

From Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte
.....to Postecoglou and Thomas Frank

i reckon frank turned down the chance to sign grealish, it felt like that anyway, if thats the case, thats worrying. dont worry about the 'no dickhead' rule, worry about getting footballers in who can make the ball stick up in the final third and keep it, couldnt give a fuck if they spend their spare time in beach clubs. give me 11 party boys that are actually useful with a football over 11 choir boys like little harry winks.
Those 4 are our best players in our whole squad. The rest are bang average .
So it's a bit like playing doubles on table football.Let’s keep Frank and also bring back Ange. Frank can keep these guys organized in our own end, and we can have some structure there and on set pieces. Ange can have us play that kamikaze style from the halfway line and in, so we can take some risks and score some goals. What could possibly go wrong?!
(Yes, it’s a joke…I’m not actually suggesting this is a possibility)
Udogie would be snapped up but otherwise yes.Our only top players right now are our starting CBs. That's it. Nothing else. Period.
I like him a lot also but hes still at least two levels away from where VdV and Romero are at in their careers.

Porro in the right system maybe but he’s just a less good Spanish trent if we’re being brutal.
The likes of Kudus & Vicario fall in to the would be solid mid table players category.
You think current Trent is better than Porro? I never really have been impressed with the defense of either, to be honest...
...but ...but- what about their XGs?Still better than where Poch was at this point in his first season:
Place: 9th v 10th
Points: 18 v 17
GS: 20 v 16
GC: 14 v 17
