13pts behind us. 14 with goal difference. No chance. I could easily see a 15th or 16th finish on the cards though.
15th or 16th is progress from last year. Or something.

Blame the players as you like. But remember, these are PROFESSIONAL football players. They spent their childhood, youth, and now adulthood player, eating, drinking, football. They don't get to this level playing at one of the top leagues for being sh!t. Even as much as I despise Richarlison, he is, compared to the average joe, is elite at few things.
These players are taught from a young age how to pass, and run, how to receive the ball, how to form triangles and squares, how to see spaces, and use spaces. These are the basics in today's football and all current pro football players are taught that.
That's why you see even mediocre teams play well if they get a competent manager (the sunderlands, BHAs, Brenfords, CPS, etc.). Today's players are robots they execute what the manager trains them and tells them to do. On game day, when the plan that the manager draws is not working, they do not know what do to. they look poor.
The reason the players look poor at Tottenham is because the manager's plan or tactics are not working, they do not know how to handle the movement of the opposition. Their manager told them this and that, but on the pitch they see something else. Look how Bournmouth players looks so drilled, know what the plan, see that what their manager is saying mostly happens. Our manager on the other hand has nothing going. Our players look lost, what he tells them does not happen.

A life-long mediocre manager, who spent his who career at a low level, is not going to know how to coach at the elite level, he does not know it, he's never been their. He who doesn't have it, cannot give it.

I want him sacked, but as long as we have these LOSER owners, nothing is going to happen. It starts there.
Whilst I largely agree with you on most of this....
Many of these players were letting Conte down, then the interim after, then Ange and now Frank.
They look untrained and I'm not sure how long it'll take anyone to rectify it.

I got pelters 2 months back when I said Brentford are better than us and look even better now than they did under Frank.

They're currently 5th and have scored 11 goals in their last four games.

We really are fucking toilet.

In my years of following Spurs, I can't think of a period where we felt so disconnected. Yes, we have had lean years, trophy droughts, and so forth. It's sad, but we are a laughingstock. Fans abusing players and managers, infighting, Think of the meltdowns in recent times.

Mou sacked the week of a final, with Conte dropping truth bombs at a presser extraordinaire, finishing 17th yet winning a European trophy, whilst having Ange challenging fans. Add today's debacle with Micky, Porro and co.

Our captain is sending shots at the club today.

The decline has been accelerating sharply over recent times and it does feel like things are going to totally implode before we find new causes for optimism.

Right on Cuti, I'm still patiently waiting for Vinai to come out and take responsibility for not tracking Brian Brobbey at the weekend, and for Viv to hold her hands up after her needless red against Liverpool...

Said this the other day that this is as bad or arguably worse than 93 to 2004. We're just lost as a club post Poch/new stadium. A souless stadium, a succession of players that couldnt really care less, a group of dreadful or ill suited managers just passing through waiting for a payoff.

Watching last night and after Martin Chivers passing i was trying to think of one great signing or youth player since 2016, someone that could call thelseves a legend or even a top player and there isnt one. We were semi respectable for several years because of Kane and Son. There's nothing there now. This is ENICs/Levys legacy, leading us back to exactly where they found us.

We’ve had a very high turnover since Conte tbf, so I’m not sure that is fair.

The mess is a result of incoherence in squad planning.

We’ve got a young squad who need to be nurtured under a progressive system, this current manager is going to absolutely cause us long term harm.

Who walks in, assesses this squad and says, yeah Paulinha and Danso long throws is what’s needed???

His handling of Bergvall is a microcosm of everything wrong with Frank - this is a complete waste of time

Agreed.

In most sports, losing a club great would trigger some emotion, some reaction. A win or else. We are , as you rightly say, soulless. It's only anecdotal, but for many years 10-12 Spurs diehards get together at varying venues to watch our game, be it 1 am or 5 am. I'm struggling to get 5 of us nowadays.
