My biggest issue beyone everything else…

He actually thinks we’re playing well…

That is incredible

Its probably the single biggest personal thing I dislike about him. I dont like to attack the person, rather the action, you know? Go for the post, not the poster kind of thing.

But.... It really infuriates me the complete disconnect between what he sees and what is actually there. Be that performances or even player profiling, its like hes looking at completely different things

The players don't respect him.

That has been clear for many weeks, literally on public display.

That can never work. He won't earn their respect whilst the players down tools. He needs to have earned their respect in his roles before joining Spurs, and that's on those that appointed him.

Nuno had the same problem. Clearly the players, especially Kane, didn't respect him.

Like them or not, players respected Mourinho and Conte.

I dont know if they dont respect him, but I do think they dont believe in his method.

I think theyre trying, mostly. They havent fully given up. But they dont look like they have any faith in how he is asking them to play, and they clearly dont enjoy it.

looks like that meeting never happened

You know what its like. We sign a player, all done - sealed etc - but we still wait for a day for the announcement.

Got to get those socials done...

...so Im waiting for the badly edited teaser on X for an upcoming announcement

Misplaced anger. Inherited a shitshow that normalised losing over the past few years and people think that can be eradicated missing your 3 main attackers and 20 games. He's made mistakes but no manager in the world is fixing this under the current circumstances. Sack him then we get someone like Mason as interim and I fail to see how that fixes the current issues.

I understand your point but I wouldn't take Poch now. Sure, it would give me and most of us a boost. We'd like to think he'd work his magic again but ultimately I don't think he could get us where we need to be.

I loved Poch but I always remind myself of the last year or so under him. We played some awful stuff. He deserved to be sacked when he did (albeit we can debate for days how he would have done if he was backed properly).

We need a proper start. We can't keep looking back. If it is the manager that is gonna carry the can for how shit we are currently, then we need someone new. Someone dynamic. Someone fearless.
What we need is the new Poch so to speak, someone who can come in and have a clear out , cut the rot from the squad and release the potential of all the likes of Gray, Bergavail and Sarr, Moore LWB etc all while playing an attacking brand of football ( for the most part) what we also need which we have been lacking is a pathway from the academy to the first team, stop buying punts from abroad when we could be taking a risk on someone from the academy instead, do that and we will have players who actually care about the club !

I'm not sure who that man is, but its not TF!

I don't agree that losing was ever normalized, but player accountability was. Postecoglou made it known that he will stand in the firing line to protect the players and that's where the lack of player accountability stems from.

Great post.

I also agree that no manager in world football can make us any better (with the players that are unavailable).

If I genuinely believed anyone could I would agree that sacking him is the best option.

It's 2031. Tottenham have just slipped to 15th in League 1 after an injury time winner scored by Port Vale's player manager Wayne Rooney. Beleaguered Spurs Manager Thomas Partey has asked for time and promises he's "fighting hard for the club". Spurs fans are angry.

But Matt1882 Matt1882 and CJJ CJJ will still be talking about Ange Postecoglou on TFC. :D

meanwhile, Phomesy is still having a cry-wank over Ange, despite insisting he doesn't care when people cricitise him

Sad Anthony Anderson GIF

(and keeps bringing 'ange' up when no one is actually talking about him)

Again I'll point to Celtic

- Terrible under Rodgers
- O'Neil wins 8/9
- Nancy their worst manager ever
- O'Neil now back to save the day

Managers really do matter, they are the most important person at a club, and someone that knows what they are doing can turn things around very quickly.

Stop being hyperbolic and talking out of your arse.
Not a chance we are in relegation trouble.

I tell you what put your money where your mouth is. You obviously think it is likely we get relegated. How about putting a grand on it, I will give you 10-1 odds which is very generous as according to you we could well get relegated.
We could put the 11k in escrow account.

I said elsewhere on here that the current bottom three are nailed on to be relegated but we will still struggle to finish outside the bottom six!

That's where I'm at. The working conditions to succeed here have deteriorated to a level that a manager with an attacking philosophy had to throw his whole belief system he's maintained his whole career out the window even against sub standard European teams just to win a few games to try and save his bacon. We're having to play players that don't even want to be here, players still here after seasons of the same mistakes and lack of concentration that have got us into this mess. The club is unfixable in its current state.

The question is do you think enic are going to get the right person in? Or do you think it'll be good old Mason to the rescue again?

You guys are certainly seeing things I’m not. I’m just seeing an utter and absolute shambles. Poorly trained and poorly motivated players making a hash of even the most simple tasks on the pitch.

You guys are seeing a potential trophy winning manager and squad.

Safe to say we are on different paths here.

You took a lot longer to see Ange as incapable and afforded him far more grace to lose many, many games before finally deciding he had to go.
We lost away last night to a team that is coached by a very capable guy on a very emotional night for them as it was their best players last game. They scored 2 great goals, one a bit of a fluke, avoided conceding two penalties, were save by the post and a one of a kind save from their keeper.
As I said, if we played like that against a farmers league team, we'd have won, comfortably.

Wow, some statement.. We lost yesterday, shipping three goals, vs the mighty "11 matches without a win" Bournemouth.

And since when did this club win things, not to say comfortably?

When we finally picked up a cup again winning Europe last year, some of the posters here can't ridicule it enough.. when do you find joy in following Spurs?

After the amount of losses we'd suffered last season, and me trudging there and back, week after week, I felt almost nothing by the time we won that cup. I was numb. We won a cup we were favorites for at the start of the season. Wowee.
The fact we won it playing a millions times more horrific football than Frank has all season also shows what hypocrites people are. It was often 10 men behind the ball in the latter stages.
We lost to to the likes of AZ along the way.
It wasn't like the run to the CL final when we knocked out City, Dortmund and Ajax after going away to the Nou Camp and getting the draw we needed. All of those were mega satisfying results.
I just didn't feel that in the Europa League. If feels inferior. Because it is.

They just want to have a sly cheap dig at Ange, they can't help themselves........they hated we tasted European glory with Ange as manager

A club that wins so little but they want you to believe any old mug could have won the EL last season. Sad people
