Youre saying things which are facts

Im saying this reasoning and these facts are pathetic excuses for acting that way.

And it is, in fact, counterproductive - read the players' own words - it's not helping - booing is not working

try SUPPORTING - not you - but the sad individuals who see it right to verbally abuse other humans because of a game.

Mate, if you saw (I am sure you did) the emotion that followed our Europa win, you will know that for many fans in an increasingly anxious world, where some much is actually irrelevant, or beyond their control, that fans are merely venting in pursuit and hope for something better.

It's not right to boo, and I am sure many regret or don't feel good about doing it, but other than booing I am not sure what else human beings can do.

apart from bale coming on - none aresimilar to what i have described -

but yes - fans booing other human beings is more common than it should and is pathetic no matter who does it
Madrid fans were literally booing and whistling at Casillas in the middle of play in that clip, worse than what our fans were doing to Vicario.

Yes it's abhorrent, but it happens. Fans are not a monolith though, and it's silly to suggest that they're a "problem" that can be fixed.

The vasty majority of Spurs fans and football fans in general will cheer the club on if there's something to look forward to. If Thomas Frank got them playing more progressive football and we won 4-5 games on the bounce the same fans booing would be suddenly singing his and the players name despite fighting with them a few weeks earlier.

The same "fans" were praising the team after losing 4-1 at home to Chelsea, because it was off a string of good performances and they liked the fight and desire in that game.

The players getting into huddles in solidarity against the fans as a singular entity that exists only to antagonise them isn't a good thing. It's not a normal thing at top level football, anywhere. Yes, players fight fans, argue with them, throw up gestures, but the fact that the whole team feels like they are being wronged here is a huge issue. It is THE issue with the squad imo. We're wasting time ranting about whether or not the fans are the problem.

Absolutely. I don't think some fans realise what a doom spiral is created by never-ending toxic atmospheres. It doesn't drive the players onward - it just drives them away.
So what you're saying is that if we continue with this then the players will be driven away???

Well in that case...

It’s crazy that all of this could be solved by making a big offer for a Vlahovic and a quality playmaker huge signing like right about now…

Thats ambition. Its crazy what can be solved by just going for it a bit and showing some intent. Frank is a decent manager just needs time and some actual ballers. How can you be a big club and have no established quality striker

Steal Vlahovic under the nose of Barcelona and liverpool. They’re fart arsing about and haggling. Make a big offer and fly him in.

Steal Vlahovic... a player who is out until March... what's he gonna do. Improve our expected tendon injury recovery time!!!

All fun and games until Mickey doesn't sign a new contract; none of our targets agrees to come even if we offer more wages than competitors and our youth academy dries up completely. 🤷‍♂️
So what if Micky won't sign a new contract. Sell him. He ain't that good.

Players sign for shitty clubs all the time (see West Ham). I doubt they wont sign for our basket case of a club.

Southampton currently festering in the Championship have one of the best academies in England producing good players all the time. I doubt ours will dry up.

And you wouldnt be wrong 😄

Although as Aphex says, Law seems to have a real 'in' at the club, so when he is writing these articles there is something to them

When these types of article come out, the "briefed" ones, the manager never lasts
Law is definitely one of the club approved journalists who gets fed narratives and scoops, but this latest hit piece from him doesn't seem to be one of them.

Not sure that screams one is better than the other tbh. Just looks like two completely different philosophies.
Ohh really? Let me help you break it down then.

Essentially the system Ange was playing (despite everything). Was creating more in possession, Scored more goals, and pressed a lot better... All things we'd expect yeah?

On the other hand, Frank there with his counter attacking style and system is slightly better... Ohh wait nahh he's also worse, WAY WORSE at counter attacking by the looks of that as well.

But wait, defending is higher for Frank ain't it? The phys too?? - Nah brav, that's just because we're now no longer holding onto the ball and clinging on for dear life.

Hope this helps.

I dont think it makes a difference in this instance

Either he's being fed the narrative by the club = Frank is done
or he's writing it of his own volition, but is reporting the split from the dressing room = Frank is done

Other fans don't do it - Man U are a bigger club than us I have never seen their players get boo'd simply for being subbed onto the pitch - and you defending it as if being exasperated is a fine way to treat another human being is pretty weird.
If you're talking about the occasion that I think you're talking about, then nobody was booing Sanchez himself, they were booing the decision to bring a centre back on with little time remaining, at home, in the second leg of a CL knockout whilst chasing a 1 goal deficit.

You can still debate whether it was right or wrong, but I find it a bit disingenuous to simply describe the situation as the fans booing Sanchez.

They boo their players all the fucking time... they boo their manager, their owners, their board and even that fucker who hasn't cut his fucking hair because they can't string five decent results together!!!
