The real question that should be asked, is who handed him the cup. THAT person should be fired. I would not be surprised if it was a Bournemouth staff/volunteer pulling a prank.

Just very sad to see that we let things like that influence our opinions. Must be a lot of perfect people on this forum.

The thing is if it was a prank like you suggest , no one would have dared try that with someone like Conte or Jose , they would be scared to do it , so I think you have just summed up Frank , he is to timid and I think the players feel the same way , they lack respect and don’t fear him.

I meant last season we had a one mad defensive midfield in Bentacur expected to cover the whole midfield. Now we just dont bother progressing the ball through one, preferring the wings.

More to the point, and something not mentioned, I wonder how many PL clubs take their own cups to opposition stadiums with them?

Typically it would be that lot of weirdos. I bet most teams just use the ones there. Bizarre behaviour, but then again that twat Arteta had people nicking their wallets at the dinner table so nothing is beyond that tit.
 
Does Frank get sacked if we are knocked out tonight?

Sure, we might be slightly better for the first month or two but the bounce will dissipate, and will probably perform as we are now - awful.

So is it worth keeping Frank until the end of the season, and end things there?

No we shouldn’t keep him.

That bastards focus on long throws and set pieces, plus other % based attacks, at the expense of playing football and scoring goals, means I can’t watch my team play. I have no interest in watching us

Results May or may not improve but this shit is worse than Allardyce or Pulis. He’s a cunt and has no place being here

Yeah, you're right.

I have voted for Frank out so am in complete agreement, and we are certainly underachieving.

The problem is that he hasn't really tried to get us playing attacking football, and considering our through ball statistic, in which eleven PL players have completed more than all our players combined is astounding.

If we dont sign a midfielder this window for Frank, they aren't really helping him or the situation.

I just look at that squad, particularly the midfield and think, what can any manager do with that?

I can live with not playing attaching football for a bit, if there’s a plan but this is worse - it’s anti football. It’s totally disgusting

Agree on current squad but as fucking awful as Bentacur currently is, I’ve seen him play well under other coaches and pass the ball forward first time. That’s been drained from him. We have to ge another midfielder that can play though as you say but I don’t think Frank cares as he simply doesn’t want footballers to play or take risks in that area of the pitch.

While I agree that we shouldn't keep him, why do you feel the need to use epithets? Anytime personal abuse is used it suggests that the facts do not support your opinions.

Frank seems a decent man. He is not the right manager for us. We play terrible, unambitious, football with him at the helm. That is all that needs to be pointed out. There is no need to descend to personal abuse.

Because I can’t stand him. I don’t think he is a decent man - he’s an ill qualified imposter masking his inability (badly) and hiding what he thinks

A lot of factors play a part in the current mess no doubt. But Frank is the biggest one let's not kid ourselves. A Mourinho or Conte, even Ange if people are being honest, would still be an inspiration to most players. Only Frank the timid fraud could be so dull and bull-shitty that players all looked so frustrated playing under him and we are looking at some mass exodus based on rumours. Of course they are still rumours. But there must be some form of leaks or agent play ongoing and it's hardly surprising.

I noticed in the Bournemouth game how his passing was intelligent, he would not simply pass straight across to the player, but he was placing the ball where the player was going to be, so the player could run on to it. This would greatly increase the pace of play and attack. So there’s some footballing intelligence there, much needed in this team.
