If we lose at home to west ham next week we might pull the trigger. Regardless think he will be gone in the summer anyway. Wrong fit.
You said he was 99% gone after the Bournemouth game. Make your mind up

Great postI stand by what I said regarding the current midfielders being far from good enough. A quality duo of central midfielders would improve our results and play significantly, even within the framework of Frank's football with all its constraints.
That being said, the said framework, the two pillars of which have been:
stifles our play considerably. It, among other things, leads to many avoidable turnovers while bringing out the worst in players who struggle with their passing vision and technique to begin with.
- Shifting the ball from one side to the other in a rather mechanical manner before trying to achieve a highly improbable breakthrough right alongside the touchline
- A strong emphasis on going long / direct, more often than not at the expense of forgoing much simpler passes

Vicario is so fixated on shifting the ball towards wide right that he completely misses Bentancur being left wide open

Bournemouth are utilizing a rather strict man to man press, and you can already see matchups taking shape here. Bournemouth's #8 will eventually have to make a decision between going with Palhinha versus committing to Bentancur, leaving one of the two open.
Horrendous

This is not nearly as bad as the others; but Davies had much simpler options there.

Matchups are once again taking shape, and Bentancur is once again the odd man
Too late now: Not only has Bentancur's matchup arrived, but the passing angle is also cut

It's Odobert's turn to suffer from some inexplicably bad tunnel vision
--------------------What do all these have to do with Frank exactly? Isn't it about players that cannot spot a pass to save their lives?
Well, not only is he the common denominator; but these sequences of players failing to spot such simple passes almost always follow the same pattern: Them trying to go wide or long. Instead of reacting in real time to how the each individual sequence develops, they act in a quite predetermined manner to end up with nearly identical outcomes across sequences.
Our football looks like a combination of 5-6 sequences on a loop: Not only boring, but also extremely predictable and easy to play against. The common complaint that players go through the motions makes a lot of sense from this perspective.
Austin is nowhere near as good as Vicario. That’s scary but it’s true.Great post
Good point on Vic. I would play Austin, far more accomplished with his feet and looks v calm
Vic is an absolute liability on the whole but there’s no question he’s the best keeper we have.Austin is nowhere near as good as Vicario. That’s scary but it’s true.
Frank is a decent man and doesn't deserve this tirade of criticism.
He hasn't had Solanke, Madison or Kulu so what do you expect. He wanted Eze and MGW and got Simons. He inherited Tel and Odobert and he never had a Kane or Son to turn to.
I guarantee that whoever gets the job now will not do better.
Bold statement.Frank is a decent man and doesn't deserve this tirade of criticism.

Honestly, if someone offers you a cup of tea, is the first thing you do, lift it to eye level, turn it 360 degrees, then proceed to raise it further and check the bottom?I think you’re right but I can’t feel sorry for him about the coffee cup. How the fuck did he not see that. I know he’s wrapped up in all sorts but that to me smacked of a lack of preparation and professionalism
We had Madison, Kulusevski and Bissouma available for most of last season.
This. The real question that should be asked, is who handed him the cup. THAT person should be fired. I would not be surprised if it was a Bournemouth staff/volunteer pulling a prank.
In the Championship?5th is about the level of this squad - and it would take an exceptional coach to get them further in the league, and something special to win a trophy.

Those same players were quite content to finish 17th last season so they can shut the fuck up and do their talking on the pitch.Amazing that this club which just won the Europa last season, is having quite a fair number of players looking to leave, if there are some truths to the rumours. All because of the incompetence of Frank.
Matt Law is a wanker and won’t lose any opportunity to stick the knife in.At this point, I’m feeling sorry for Frank.
It’s not all his fault and football has a brutal way of delivering feedback at times.
But when “sources” start talking to Matt Law about double standards and player unrest, you’re fucked.
No ifs, no buts, it’s only a miracle that keeps Frank going from here. I hope for him and also for Spurs that the miracle comes because that means us winning but if he really does think the performances have been good enough, then I’m not sure he’s ready to see the miracle if it did come.
Bold statement.
Thomas Frank has not got the players atm to be constesting with the top teams, but you really don't think it's possible to do better than we have?
Going game after game without producing chances, and no goals from open play over 10 games?
We are underachiveing big time.
