This would be a very good coach to break the bank for- was treated poorly by RM and their players imo. Xavi would be great too. Hopefully the board and exec can get a collective clue between now and the end of the season and bring one of them in.
Unlikely, they should be...but seemingly they will keep Frank till the end of days.

Alonso would be great. A big name in football, would command respect of the players and from everything considered a very decent coach. Leverkusen was no fluke

Other fans don't do it - Man U are a bigger club than us I have never seen their players get boo'd simply for being subbed onto the pitch - and you defending it as if being exasperated is a fine way to treat another human being is pretty weird.

They’re multi millionaire athletes getting paid thousands to kick a ball around, go find something worthwhile getting the fucking violin out over, fuck me.

I don't see that things will improve under Frank.

But I'm under illusions about the lack of quality in the squad-I don't think I've see many players with a poor touch in the same Premier League team.

COYS...or something...can't really muster any passion for the club ATM.

Exactly right.

And that is where the strategic direction/plan and messaging from the club doesn't marry up.

If you say the club needs a rebuild, than go for a rebuild!
Don't do a half-arse 18 month "Rebuild" and then shitcan it for not being Top 4 and competing on all fronts. (fans are partly to blame for wanting results now) but Progress is not always linear, especially when your'e bringing in a young new guard and replacing the old guard.

If you say you want to compete on "All Fronts" then don't go and sack your Trophy winning manager for another one that has zero experience in actually competing on All Fronts. Go and get a Conte or a Klopp and back them to the hilt with experienced players that they want! Don't cheap out.

The club at the moment is stuck in the middle. Whats the old saying “He who hunts two hares catches none.” ?

Set out a strategy, get everyone aligned and on board (especially fans) and stick with it properly. That's what good Organisations do. Only Pivot when it's absolutely neccessary

Nah the club wants what my dad wants: Cheap...but good.

With all these injuries, things aren't gonna get better. Even as someone who was desperate for Frank to succeed, I can see that.

If an opportunity (like Alonso or Slot) arises, we've got to have a go. I'd be very annoyed if we didn't.
