NOT ONE BRICK - you promised stadium would never be built with Levy/enic.

I'm sure you were as correct on that as everything else you post.
Well, looks like I've been correct for years in my assumption that Levy/ENIC are inly interested in using our club and their stadium as a cash cow for their own benefit. And in all those years, we haven't won a thing. Nothing. Zilch. Fuck all.

I was hounded, vilified, insulted and yet the overwhelming majority of the forum now agree with me and are gracious and civilised about it too.

You just seem bitter and upset about the fact after all these years, I've been proven right.

Another thing £200m summer spend is clearly bullshit but obviously includes the Romero money. Then they say they've spent £47m in January which includes the Porro deal. That is currently a £5m loan. No doubt that will be included in the summer spend as well. Its just smoke and mirrors whilst managing to be patronising and arrogant.

Poch used Walker and Rose as proto-wingbacks. Dier dropped into the backline and that allowed those two to move up the field.

I don't see how having Porro and Udogie would be dealbreakers for him.

Agree. They are top shelf young players in their positions, they wouldn't be a deal breaker for any good coach.

Also, as you say a formation isn't a deal breaker for a good coach either because their system (the example you gave of Dier dropping back) should allow them to adapt to whatever players they have in the squad.

People get hung up on 5 ATB, 5ATB, 3 ATB.

Quite disappointed in the tone of ENIC's response to be honest.

They clearly don't agree with the concerns, perhaps revealing that they don't quite have the same priorities as the fans.
I actually understand the tone. But that's just me.

The Trust's statement and questions had a very petty and snarky tone to them to begin with. So to no surprise they got the same tone back at them.

That's a big issue that I have with the trust. They always come off as elitist, snarky and a fair bit cringy. Not saying that the club is blameless. But with how the trust acts I can understand how it can feel like having to deal with a spoiled toddler.

I'm not saying that the trust shouldn't be questioning the club. But I am saying that they need to be smarter in how they go about it.

I'm actually going to the Forest game on March 11

Meet you for a pint beforehand if you like? :dierpochhug:

I agree trying to get the shop shut is a silly idea. Which is why the idea has been dropped afik. As is the sit in. Won't achieve anything and almost certainly won't happen.

Loud vocal support for Antonio and the team running alongside vociferous Levy OUT! chants will be much more meaningful in getting the message home. Judging by your post I quoted earlier, no doubt you'll be joining in?
I'll most likely be in the corner pin before the game if you do want that pint 👍🏻

As for the chanting, yes if the rest of the posh lot in the west stand start singing, I'll join in.

Including Romero in that sum can fuck off too ... sneaky fuckers. Still claiming they invested 40m in January though despite Porro being a loan with obligation, you can't have it both ways you lying, corporate hacks.

I agree the lack of a trophy is a disgrace and you should join the growing support on the forum to take the FA Cup seriously and not rest so many stars to concentrate on the top 4 nontrophy. Getting top 4 would be ENIC’s aim as it brings in more money but we have achieved that plenty of times and now winning a trophy is more important. Perhaps you would prefer to be able to go on criticising the lack of a trophy or consider the domestic trophies unimportant. Personally I would swap some league points to be in the league cup final instead of Newcastle and MU. Changing the ownership will not necessarily win us a trophy as the whole attitude in the club including Managers and players needs to change to want to win one. We can win a trophy despite ENIC but the desire needs to come from the players and Managers.

A lot the board have not really addressed for me, and by being selective in noting their “successes” we are diverted from their abject failure.

Some examples I picked up on, and maybe I am guilty of reading into this what I want to see.

The club points towards continued European qualification many times. But don’t want to recognise the additional revenue that brings that is ( or should be ) over and above expected revenue.
They spend all THFC revenues on THFC, no matter where they come from
They mention the Covid hit, but not the extra income from TV from that period - ok might not have offset all the loss, but no reason THFC comes out of the Covid cluster fuck worse than anyone else.
True
The club mentioned their £200m summer investment - which does not seem to add up
Maybe it includes signing on fees, women's transfers etc.🤷
- but again don’t really mention that outgoing activity is so bad that this compromised the spend, they sort of do, but certainly not plain as day. This is actually ineptitude and they need to understand that we see through that. The Doherty mess is not the first time millions has been chucked away, that’s on ENIC.
True
The mention of investment in the Woman’s game is yet more deflection. And it’s crass too.
Agree with this
The guff about FFP is really annoying. We are nowhere near the current limit. The FFP is no threat to us. Come 25/26 you can expect Chelsea / Newcastle / City to have a grip on everything while Mr short Arms and Deep pockets fiddles with his bits. Then there are another three years on top of that before the fucking thing has any affect. It’s just an excuse, again, to be the priest at the Orgy.
Yes an excuse.
FFP is no threat to us, but we spend all revenue on the team/s.
If other clubs are prohibited from spending as much as they do, that will benefit us.
I hope the THST writes back and challenges them again, But I. suspect they won’t. (Maybe I will…👍 I need to follow up on obtaining an apology for their vaccine passports bollocks )
🤣

They may have spent £500m since 2019. They spectacularly missed that they spent fuck all for three windows, leading to an incredible drop off in quality as players declined, some of which we are still being affected by.

They spent big (ish) from 2019 but most of it - around half the money - is on ineffective, now on loan rubbish that we seemingly can't shift.

Yes, you have have shelled out £500m gross on players. But almost everyone you bought in 2019 is gone and needs replacing themselves ON TOP of the ones that needed replacing before.

And you must've missed the funds that the EPL provided to clubs after COVID. We were one of the clubs that were hit the least by COVID, and yet seem to be one of the clubs that is still suffering from it...
We had the 2nd highest hit from covid.

PREMIER LEAGUE 2019-2020 COVID-19 LOSSES

Tottenham - £69m

Man City - £57m

Woolwich - £52m

West Ham - £51m

Liverpool - £43m

Chelsea - £40m

Wolves - £39m

Bournemouth - £36m

Leicester - £28m

Watford - £28m

Southampton - £23m

Brighton - £15m

Crystal Palace - £13m

Burnley - £4m

Everton - £2m

Where did they pluck that £200m in the summer from?

They lied. They do it all the time because they have contempt for this fanbase. I have no idea how anybody still remains who will defend them. You might even think they're 'good' for the club but still recognise that they're an incredibly dislikable bunch.

They think we're all so thick that we won't notice them including the Romero fee in the summer but also trying to sneak the Porro fee (not paid yet) in to Jan. That whole letter is just laced with 'shut up you peasants and buy some shirts' throughout.

"Committed" to spending, not have spent

'We should be mindful, however, of the implications of the changes to the governance of the game which will compel greater sustainability and financial fair play (FFP). Major changes have been introduced in Europe around FFP regulations, including the newly launched UEFA financial sustainability rules, the full impact of which will be felt from season 2025/26. They are based on three pillars: solvency, stability and cost control and clubs will have three seasons to adjust to them. Many expect that these new rules will be a game changer for the sport. We should also allow for the possibility of even tighter regulations.'

It's amazing that they get away with this. It's not even intelligent spin. Someone took 10 minutes in their lunch break to write this. Every informed fan of the club knows we're miles away from FFP remotely being a factor. Even clubs where FFP is a factor (i.e Chelsea) know it's a load of ineffective rubbish and they can very easily circumvent it.

They're not remotely concerned about FFP, either now or in the future. We will always be absolutely miles away from ever being impacted by it. Stop lying to our fanbase and be honest about what you plan to do and why you're doing it.
