Ex-Spurs Player Tim Sherwood

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Keep the faith. Who would you have appointed given the difficulty in getting big name managers mid-season? Can't say I'm overjoyed by the decision but I can see some logic in it in the interim.

Hoddle. It was simple. He would have failed most probably but it would have been good to chant his name one last time.

Levy has been bamboozled by the 'football men' Hoddle has lost his political touch. Shame. It would have been glorious failure or amazing victory.

I can see Tim getting very surly soon.

Can't get this out of my head just now...
I'm not aiming this just against you ... but I don't buy this 'ArseAnal fan' bs ... it's just an excuse for people.

Good ol' Harry Mr. Redknapp also admitted of being a Gooner fan, yet people/media seem to forget that ... and still Redknapp did rather good for us, and brought us to the heights of the Champions League.

Can't really comment on his managerial credentials, simply because he doesn't have any, could be good could be bad. I still think it's the "safest" option in the circumstances, as it won't bring about a radical change in the dynamic of things half way through a season. It's needed at some point but now isn't the time IMO, especially as we're not I'm dire straights.

Is the fact that he captained a side to the PL title an insignificant point? I don't really know, but surely it's good experience to have on board?

Yeah, Hoddle would've been my first choice but maybe there's less internal disruption doing it this way...
Regardless, I think the board are just waiting for the summer and this appointment gives them the best possible face-saving breathing space.

I don't understand the complaints here. #1 priority at this very moment is stability, especially with the transfer window coming in a week and a half. We need a couple additions on the back line, and more importantly keep anyone from looking to jump ship.

And let's be real here, guy's got five months at the very most to prove himself, and even then given the length of his contract it's certainly possible that we could look for a more established option if he becomes available.

With the sacking being the worst possible timing due to the lack of options this is the best possible outcome for the sake of 20 games as if we slide Levy will be under extreme pressure to be relieved of these kind of decisions and can go back to excel, if Tim succeeds and we all hope he does then the project is back on track

He had a squad of incredibly talented players most of which are playing for a World Cup place or place in their countries team so with some guidance and motivation they should pick up results left and right we all hope he is somewhere between redknapp and AVB

At airport coming home for Xmas hoping for 6 points in next two league games! COME ON YOU SPURS

a squad of players he hasn't got a clue about!.. apparently holtby played for the reserves today.. the squad is under mounting injury pressure.

Mate. We will not buying anyone in the window.

Keep up.

Yeah there is no doubt he has a load to learn shit quick but he should be fully focussed as this is like winning the lottery, kind of what Levy did for AVB last year, getting someone motivated to succeed as its make or break for them not for van gaal

yes spot on. If people don't like TS for whatever reason that's fine, but trying to say it's because he's an Woolwich fan is bollocks. JD is Woolwich, HR is Woolwich yet no-one was bothered about them.
