We put 2 past Ajax and Messi does his ligaments in the next couple of weeks. It has a consequence if we fail to take 2 points from our last two games and miss out on top 4
I can't see any scenario in which we win the CL I am afraid

It would be no surprise that we were hoarding money for the new stadium, the wheels were already in motion back then when Harry was in charge. There is no way the stadium would of happened if we were not careful with our spending. There was a point when we qualified for champions league under Harry. Transfer fees were not that crazy and we needed a few additions nothing too crazy. So we bought Ryan Nelson and Louis saha.........i really believed after getting in the champions league that we would use the advantage in signing players that our rivals not in champs league could not...thus giving us a chance to maybe qualify the following year....it wouldn't of taken even 40 million..in fact nowhere near...what we did I thought was show no real interest in improving or taking what was an unbelievable opportunity especially with chelski and city starting there throwing around of money that has clearly inflated the market...
So are you saying that you view Leicester and Wolves as rivals?Maybe yes...but my point was ambition. I don't mean we should spend 100 million on a player like city probably Will, but Leicester and wolves will be investing this summer. They manage to get some good players, I'm guessing they also pay good wages...do u not sometimes think why are we so cheap compared to most top 10 clubs...we are not palace or west ham we are supposed to be a big club, but we don't imo act like it and it's a little frustrating tbh
Fair point but still saha and Nelson when going for top 4 is a joke....

Melts?
Championship is a figure of speech and not to be taken “literally”, I mean if I’d have said Everton, someone would have said “the way Everton play he would get a regular game, now if you’d have said Watford I might have agreed, but not Everton”.......
So which players, I’ll start of with Llorente, can’t help but like the guy but fuck me, Pochettino doesn’t even trust him in the league, the guy is reserved for League cup games at best and Llorente’s contribution in no way this season is why we are sitting 3rd, Yes we may all say it was his goal that got us to the semi finals, but putting VAR and was it handball aside, the ball just hit him and went in, his attempted header wasn’t even close to connecting, but the fact there was so much fuss made about the bloody hand ball everyone overlooked that small piece of footballing genius.
Big Vic is another one, he’s a broken man and has contributed pretty much nothing this season, not his fault, and it is what it is...
Sanchez, another bit part player, and the main reason (apart from injuries) that we resort to this back 3 crap, he’s fit, he cost 45m (club record) and he is the lesser of the 2 evils when it comes to really scraping the barrel for midfielders or forwards at the minute or going to a back 3, never underestimate an inform/injury free Eric Dier as the holding midfielder/3rd Centre half. If Toby does leave this summer having Sanchez as one of our senior centre half's next season scares the crap out of me.
It is what it is, we can’t prevent injuries, Pochettino can only do what he can do right now, the result isn’t the real disappointment in truth, the real disappointment is we couldn’t put our best players out there to represent the club in such a big occasion, if we did and we still lost, then you say fair play, but to get beat and get absolutely hammered in the press/media for it is more disappointing than the actual result itself....COYS
What happened around Harry was really curious in his last season. However, historically what really happened is lost in the fall out of missing out on Champions League. There was a point when we qualified for champions league under Harry. Shut up you wet lettuce if you think we are going to win a CL then you are deluded.Begone you transparent lonely wum cunts. Trolling Is the weakest form of cuntery ffs pull yourselves together
Of course history is littered with giant killing stories I suppose I'm not a dreamer just realistic but of course if at some stage we won it I would be as happy as you.

Perhaps I should rephrase it and say it's very unlikely that we will win it does that sit better. It’s a strange time to be completely adamant that we have zero chance of winning it, when we are potentially 2 games away from winning it
Yeah I know mate. I was just venting. It won’t happen again. We'll be a stronger team in the return leg with the return of Son + Ajax won't have the luxury of a weeks rest as they play a cup final on Sunday, leaving us with an extra days rest more than them before we play them Wednesday.
Football's a funny old game, all it takes is a moment and all of a sudden it turns. Ajax have a better record in the Champions League away from home than at home and they'll have to play to score against us as a 0-1 lead isn't enough comfort for them to sit back on.
After reflection & all things considered that we had to play with 34 year old as our main guy last night, one that alters the way we play drastically from passing to slinging long balls up there I think we are capable of nicking a goal and getting Ajax nerves rising. We've left ourselves a bigger issue than we needed with a really dull, weak and somewhat spineless performance last night but with how the first half hour was going getting away only conceding 1 goal isn't that bad. Nick a goal from a set piece, a goal against the runnof play etc and who knows. We'll be playing the same kind of team we played that scored 3 away at Man City the other week so anything is possible.
If we win the Champions League this year, I'm legitimately getting a tattoo of Pochettino riding Chirpy into the sunset on my butt.I told myself after our miraculous escape from the group stages, because let's be honest after getting 1 point from 3 games it was an absolute miracle, that I'd get a Spurs tattoo if we won the champions league this year. I've already selected a simple design and for some reason I've got this feeling that somehow this is our year so I'm all set. If we played how we played the second half with Son starting there's no doubt in my head we'll score and make it to the final. If Chelsea managed to park the bus a win the final a few years ago there's no reason why we cant win either.
