But is anyone else a little concerned that we haven't played well since Newcastle? Against a team that was shagged by all account? Utd away we were decent but the football hasn't been great for a while now.

Nope.

Finally got a bunch of key players back and the MF has been decimated and ever-changing for most of the last 15 games.......

If we play badly for the rest of the season then let's review.

No. Like I said during the game earlier, we haven’t had a settled 11 for 3 months.

Now we’ve got everyone back, I’m expecting things to settle down and click in the next few weeks

No, we’ve not been settled since the Chelsea game and wins have had to be cobbled together, and cobbled they were. Now everyone is back and players are building fitness, form and chemistry. We let the players have some time off during the winter break, but if it was up to me, I’d take the team somewhere for a focussed training block in the two weeks between Wolves and Palace.

Watched that game after ours.

Alonso will be at Anfield next season, he has that team purring.

Kane didn't get a sniff and Dier watched on (as usual) as their cross for the opening goal came past him.

Leverkusen are an exceptional side and Alonso has them set up well.

Good game and BM looked average.

Bissouma on after HT was key.

He should start from now on, Bentancur looked off the pace, Sarr couldn't do it all himself.
 
Missed the game but looking at the stats, Brighton would have had an xG of only 0.4 without the penalty versus ours of 1.65.

Sounds pretty one sided to me. maybe stats can lie but maybe people are being a bit harsh on our boys
 
Give it a few games and we’ll start to click. Finally have our starting 11 all back together after months. As much as I love the pace our current wingers I think that’s where we will need to upgrade come summer If we really want to compete.

Exciting times ahead. COYS!!

I thought it was a penalty. It’s a bit unlucky because he caught him and didn’t mean to at all. Kind of accidental, but a penalty nonetheless.

And as far as that image, I can’t see a damn thing. Maybe I’m wrong and Wellbeck steps on VDVs foot/ankle, but it didn’t look like it during the game.

From the north stand I thought nailed on pen but watching motd wellbeck was a tad dramatic in his fall and watching the replays clearly not a pen
 
Son back is massive as he can cut inside and score and hit the byline on the outside and cross . Timo has been useful cover but never looks like cutting in and scoring , he has created some goals on the outside but his left foot is his swinger. Forget Son’s far greater goal threat I think he will deliver appreciably better crosses for assists . One can’t really fault Werner’s work rate and he will be very useful giving Sonny a rest on 70 mins, but fair play to him he has done what was needed until Son got back

Fkn Optus in Australia want $25 a month, but I’d only really be watching one game a week (with any real interest)
