what happened at the end behind our goal lower tier?, looked like a chav in our end getting escorted out. whilst leaving he still had a dozen coppers protecting him

Yes saw a bit of a commotion but was up in the clouds so couldn't make out what was going on..Saw a few isolated incidents throughout the day but nothing major, one Mouthy Chav got a Piss baller near Liverpool St which brightened the day up.

Apparently Davies had a knock, wasn't tactical.

Ref fucked us imo, so many little fouls unpunished.

All their goals 1/10 chances, on another day they don't score any - we've had games this season that would've ended 15-0 if we'd been that lucky.

Difficult defeat to accept....the footballing gods never shine on us at Wembley.

To be fair, it was just 3 errors but the point still stands.

I just find it astonishing how at Wembley, we've conceded 10 goals from only 13 shots allowed. Compare that to how many shots we allow at White Hart Lane and how many we concede.
First goal 2 errors. Son error and third no one closing H down. Unlike us normally so good at the back.

Agree, ref allowed Alonso off early on a few occasions which he could have been booked . This set the tone. Conte was seen in earlier in the week buying brown envelopes?

Ah yes, true.

Dier and Lloris for the opening goal
Son for the penalty
No one closing down Hazard.

All avoidable. We'll get there.

Whilst I think carding Alonso should have been done, I can't help but feel the referee was trying to help the game flow with less yellows which helped with the intensity of the match. Dembele could easily have been sent off for two yellow card offences and Lloris handled outside the area. Referee wasn't great, but he's not the reason we lost.

The ref was very poor. And yes it went both ways. He wasn't even going to give the pen. They were more likely to take this piss than we were so it suited them that he was blind to most situations.

Do think people are getting confused between being the better team and controlling the game though.

Agree - but the game would have been a lot more harder to control for Chelsea if a few of their players were walking a tightrope of a yellow card. Lost count of the amount of times Luiz went into the back of someone around the halfway when Spurs had a break on. It was like watching 1980s defending at times.

We were not outplayed, outclassed or outfought; we were simply 'done'! Which is, I think, the depressing bit. In terms of the quality of the first 11 there is nothing separating Spurs and Chelsea, but they are better at winning when it matters. I don't know how to change that in our team; perhaps it will just take a bit of luck and a bit more time. Which is what worries me; can we keep the team together if we don't win something soon?

Part of the wonder of watching Spurs this season has been witnessing the team spirit and joy the players experience in playing with each other; yesterday they put everything into trying to win beautifully. It was a shame, then, to see so many of our supporters leave before the end and not show their appreciation to the side. Presumably most of them were ST holders who must therefor be pretty committed - I don't understand why they slunk away, tails between their legs! If we want players to stick with us we need to show them some fucking balls and not desert them when they're down (imagine after playing your guts out looking up at the stands to see them mostly empty). If they had played shite without passion like those Gooner cunts, fair enough; but COME ON, we are SPURS; LOVE THE SHIRT; LOVE THE TEAM; DIE FOR THE LILLYWHITES!!
Sorry - got carried away there.

Even Chelsea fans said we deserved to win.

Strange. I'd understand if they said we were the better team, we bossed them possession wise but I mean 5 shots, 4 goals is pretty clinical. I don't remember testing Courtois all that much.

They scored 4 to our 2. I'm not sure how they didn't deserve it. If being the better team was the determination of who deserves to win, then we should have won the league last year.. we didn't.. we should probably win the league this year too.. which is still possible.

While Poch is here I have no worries, we lose Kane for £120 million and I am confident we will bounce back (and believe me Kane is the last player I would want us to lose) but we lose Poch then we have big issues.

Levy will always make a profit, more than enough to buy a few new players but I don't know how we would replace Poch.
