Well, we won! Besides the link up play between Kane and Eriksen there wasn't much to like.

Our wing play was terrible.

That turned out to be a tad closer than I thought it would be after the first 15 minutes. It would be nice if we could just kill the game now and again.

And our defending needs sorting sooner rather than later. It's just beyond ridiculous now.

Didnt get to watch the game but what im hearing of the defence is just more of the same. We have been poor in defence for the last dozen games at least, and it looks like the problem is just getting worse.

I'm not sure how to fix it. Southampton leaked goals under Poch too. I think we have the right players but it's a mess the way we are not playing as a unit at all back there, and we are expecting to conceed, it's normal now. That worries me.

Also, it is worse than it looks cause we have one of the best goalies around.
 
Andros and Chadli killed us today. Can't believe Nacer didn't bury one of his two gilt edged chances. We were very fortunate with the deflection and OG but we'll take it and move on.

A lot to take from this game - mostly negatives unfortunately but we have to better ourselves.
 
It's all a conspiracy, our guys stay up so late waiting for our turn on MOTD, we contrive to make as many goals happen as possible, in order to ensure first slot.
 
When we're puffing our cheeks in relief at a narrow, barely deserved win against the bottom side in the division... WHOEVER they are... you know we're papering over the cracks.
any other side would've scored 4 at LEAST against us, and where would that leave the result??
Don't get me wrong, we HAD to win today, and ANY win is welcome, but you have to worry when we struggle today, when Southampton pretty much did what they had to against a struggling side without breaking sweat it sounds like!!

Still, it was a ding-dong old school result, so not really gonna grumble. .. Other that the grumble I just did!
