I think the answer is pretty simple.I am beyond mystified how so many posters seem utterly incapable to take the merest micro-ounce of pleasure from us beating Manchester United.
Regardless of whether you might think we didn't shine or how poor United were, given our recent awful home form, surely you can publicly say that you enjoyed the win?
It seems that some of you have become so committed to the I-love-Spurs-more-than-you-because-I-hate-Spurs-more-tthan-you dynamic that you have become unable to enjoy anything about us.
As I've asked before, and never got a good answer for, why on Earth would you bother in that case? Isn't there anything more pleasurable that you could be doing?
It's been the worst season in decades and, up until about three weeks ago, we were getting drawn into a relegation battle. Many of us also dislike the manager and do not like the direction that the club is being taken in.
Sport is visceral and our reactions are honest. It was good to see us win, but the inevitable chest thumping is as irritating as it is inevitable.
I'm not enjoying watching Spurs at the moment and I see no reason why I should pretend to do so.
