Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I am beyond mystified how so many posters seem utterly incapable to take the merest micro-ounce of pleasure from us beating Manchester United.

Regardless of whether you might think we didn't shine or how poor United were, given our recent awful home form, surely you can publicly say that you enjoyed the win?

It seems that some of you have become so committed to the I-love-Spurs-more-than-you-because-I-hate-Spurs-more-tthan-you dynamic that you have become unable to enjoy anything about us.

As I've asked before, and never got a good answer for, why on Earth would you bother in that case? Isn't there anything more pleasurable that you could be doing?
I think the answer is pretty simple.

It's been the worst season in decades and, up until about three weeks ago, we were getting drawn into a relegation battle. Many of us also dislike the manager and do not like the direction that the club is being taken in.

Sport is visceral and our reactions are honest. It was good to see us win, but the inevitable chest thumping is as irritating as it is inevitable.

I'm not enjoying watching Spurs at the moment and I see no reason why I should pretend to do so.

For some on here no!

For once I thought we got the rub of the green and no it wasn’t a classic but only to be expected from two teams in the bottom half of the division!

But 3 points and daylight between us and the bottom 3!

Another 3 next Saturday and we can maybe concentrate on the EL

Fair comments and to make it more interesting I stuck a score on us to win!

We can and should concentrate on the EL, and should have been doing so for 3 months. We're not getting relegated, never were, and we're not going to finish anywhere in the league that matters.

EL has been the only thing that matters since December.

I would have liked us to have had a decent FA Cup run but not to be!

I cheered very loudly indeed when we scored. Always will!

I’d like to hear your reasoning actually. I’m curious why he should have come off.

He has created more than Kulu today, was the only one putting the ball forward and was moving the ball around freely.

Kulu has been awful today. Why take him off just to move Kulu to his position?
100% first we had good pocession of the ball and when it went to kulu we lost it. I really don’t see what makes everyone think he is really good. He is a good player but that’s about it. When he has space his ok. When we have 70% of the ball in the oppo half his not do good. MADDs gives us far more control of the ball, loses it less and is just much better player and passer.

I thought United put up a spirited fight.
The team with the better players won.
I can't help laugh at those mug punters who bet on us to get relegated.
No wonder bookies all live in big houses.

I’d say I am one of the more optimistic posters on this board but really our quality of play is inexcusable and that is down to Ange.

Scrapping to a 1-0 home win against a relegation threatened United is not going to endear the fans who see clear as day that this squad is very poorly coached and playing a style of play and a system which is completely and utterly ineffective.

As the old saying goes ;

The truth hurts ; but it is the truth.

It's pretty apparent to me that aside from 8 flukey games at the start of Ange's tenure that he either doesn't have an effective system or lacks the means to implement this elusive system.

Either way he is fucking useless and needs to go so that a proper coach can get a hold of this squad of players.
We still allowed manure who are abd were shite enough opportunities to score. I think someone said Vic could have been motm. I mean that is a shocking indictment of how we play and Ange’s tactics.

Glad to get the three points by keeping a clean sheet, think we just about deserved it.
Have to take my hat off to Djed Spence - yet another MOTM performance, he's unbelievable. I do wonder if he feels that he has to pass to Sonny, as I think that he could be even better.
I love Lucas too, he's non-stop and got a bit of a side to him, which we desperately need.
Kev looks very comfortable at the back, and Ben does his job quietly and effectively.
Vic made some important saves, good to see him back.
Deki and Sonny look shadows of themselves, the latter proving yet again he's not a 90 minute player anymore.
I'm holding fire on Tel, but can't say I was that impressed with I saw today.
Maddz did well considering he hasn't had much game time.
As I don't really watch any other team, unless they're playing against us, but was slightly surprised how crap Utd were, although they had a few chances and about 15/20 minutes in the second half when they were on top.
Now we're at the heady heights of top 12, how many more points do we need to be safe? ;)
All in all, a satisfying afternoon, topped off with a sing song in the Shelf Bar and prawn noodles from Noodle King before getting train home.
Enjoy your evening,

Right - sun is shining. Roast Beef pre-ordered at the High Cross. A nice Flensburger to wash it down. Then a brisk stroll down to the stadium

I will not let Spurs ruin my sunday*.

*Narrator: Spurs are definitely going to ruin his Sunday...

Tried their best but I remain unconquered in my enjoyable Sunday with Spurs seeing out a much needed win.

I love Djed Spence

Very happy to win. Bit of a weird one to beat them three times in a season and things are still pretty shit. But at least I’ll get to laugh at their fans tomorrow. In Berkshire obvs.
