You could do that until the end of time. In regards to SPORTS TICKETS, which is what is being talked about. It’s not a lot.

Spurs really fucked the pricing of this game - £30, no wonder they can’t shift them. 30 fucking quid to watch a rotated side (how much we don’t know yet) against one of the least glamorous sides on the planet - not really a knock on them, but can you honestly name a single player for them?
We will be lucky if it’s half full. Why not make it a tenner for adults and £5 for seniors and juniors - would have got a much bigger crowd in.
£30 is a great price
I doubt many more would sell if it was cheaper.Spurs really fucked the pricing of this game - £30, no wonder they can’t shift them. 30 fucking quid to watch a rotated side (how much we don’t know yet) against one of the least glamorous sides on the planet - not really a knock on them, but can you honestly name a single player for them?

Spot on - can I afford £30 = yes, would we ever entice enough people to sell out the stadium at £30 = No, not for Qarabag at home in the league phase.
Fantastic news then - we’re gonna have a sell out on Thursday lads because nearly 20 years ago we sold well when tickets were higher.![]()
Back in 2006 when we were new to Europe again, tickets for these games were highly sought after. Here is us against non glamorous opposition in the group stage, £39. And those were the cheapest seats in the whole ground!
Considering how much everything has gone up since then, including our home tickets generally I find this mad.
If we can’t sell out though then it is clearly overpriced. It’s not like Man City at home last season where people didn’t want to go because they were hoping we would lose, people want to win this one.£30 is what you'd pay to watch Hearts (bottom of the Scottish Premiership, 0 wins all season, no manager) vs Ross County (8th in the Scottish Premiership, play in a 6,000 seater stadium)
It's shite that football is so expensive, but it's expensive across the board just not at Spurs.
£30 for Spurs under the floodlights in Europe ain't bad all things considered. It is much cheaper than any Premier League match, it's not like they've priced it like one.
You can't talk context without also including 20 years worth of inflation as well, then.Fantastic news then - we’re gonna have a sell out on Thursday lads because nearly 20 years ago we sold well when tickets were higher.
Of course the little thing called context plays a part - we had been starved of Euro footy so it was a novelty. This time round we’ve been CL regs for a while.
I disagree, a home match va Qarabag won't sell out. Even if it's priced at a level where we make a loss once costs are involved it won't sell out. Trying to price this game for a sell out is futile imo.If we can’t sell out though then it is clearly overpriced. It’s not like Man City at home last season where people didn’t want to go because they were hoping we would lose, people want to win this one.
But I reckon we’re going to have 35,000 tops, and a fair size of them are only going for the loyalty points.
I was there Saturday, that was circa £60 a ticket and we had loads of empty seats - to the point I was able to stand all game in the north lower and not block anyone’s view. On Thursday I expect people will be able to stand on the seats and not block another’s view.
It’s not the Tottenham way though is it. We have long proud tradition of absolutely bolloxing the shit out of these ties. Are we still talking about resting people?
FFS, you know it'll be 0-0 or worse with half hour to go and they'll all have to come on anyway.
Start strong, wrap it up early, then get them off.
Never change more than 3 excl the keeper. We don't need the same starting 11 Vs United on Sunday as Brentford. 1 or 2 can be rotated. This is how you manage a squad.
Not making 6, 7, 8, 9 changes per game and playing like a bunch of strangers!

Yes and if this was our first foray in Europe for a long time then sure, we would pay that. But like Villa with their £97 CL tickets. You can't talk context without also including 20 years worth of inflation as well, then.
£39 in 2006 is equivalent to £65 today.
But we're not paying that. That's the whole point.Yes and if this was our first foray in Europe for a long time then sure, we would pay that. But like Villa with their £97 CL tickets.
But, we’ve been in a CL final in the last 5 years, I’ve seen us play Barca with Messi, Madrid with Ronaldo, Juve, Bayern, Dortmund, Ajax, Benfica, Inter, AC. Qarabag on a Thursday night is incredibly unappealing, particularly at £30. At £10 I might have made the trip - I suspect we will be very empty Thursday and that’s your reason why
