I definitely agree that we are nowhere near as bad as Chelsea, Millwall and West Ham, as well as various northern clubs. Chelsea in particular do indeed have a solid history of racism and fascism attached to them. When the National Front tried to infiltrate football grounds in the 70s, they were literally kicked out by Spurs fans! Whereas they became influential at Chelsea, and to a lesser extent West Ham and Millwall. North London has always been multi-racial which I think led Spurs and Woolwich to be more tolerant.
However, it was more than just a small mob singing pikey the other day. I think generally speaking it is more acceptable to slag off travellers than other groups in today's Britain, which is why people tend to allow it. You'd never have a large group of people singing "no noise from the n-word boys", which would be pretty much the same thing.

It's funny, I think that most Spurs fans (straw poll time) would say we don't have a 'direct problem' with Millwall as a club... Chelsea/West Ham Arseanal OBVIOUSLY. .. but when it comes to Miwlwawwll fans, I'd say that behind West Ham, Chelsea and Leeds, we're also about 3rd (or even 4th) on your list of hated sworn enemies (do Cardiff and Charlton REALLY count?)
