Great channel, really impressive knowledge all over the city. I wonder if he does actual guided tours.. would love to go for a pint with the chap!
I think he did but his website says he's taking a break. I love finding stuff out about my home city - as much I think I know a lot about the place the reality is far from that, given the amount of stuff that's gone on here.

Watched a few episodes and found the old gears in my head turning and remembering some of the odd facts and historical events he mentions. (to which normally the GF says "how do you remember that but forget to get the washing out"). Not a London native, just a bit of a history nerd.

I am surprised he hasn't been picked up by a streaming service or one of the freeview channels though.

Yep.Even round where i live in Bounds Green, there was a spate of grafitti on every available wall from a mob from Palmers Green. The graffitti was "N13" sprayed everywhere.Died off now ,and am not certain how serious/nasty this gang were.
Round about 2012 Enfield Borough had the worst gang problem because the gangs were small and trying to gain dominance. Groups like ESS (Enfield Sickest Soldiers) etc were 5-6 strong in maybe two/three streets. Eventually they all settled into two main gangs DA and GMG. They seemed to keep their issues between themselves and didn’t get involved in Haringey gangs like the NPK. The most dangerous gang in Enfield/Edmonton/Tottenham was the one least mentioned - the Turkish mafia. The Bill had very little handle on them and they were genuinely scary types.
(I had a mate involved in Met Gang units)

This is going to be in season 172 of Peaky Blinders right?

Back in the day when I was growing up there, Tottenham was a great place. We had The Bull which was the best pub bar none. Always packed and never any trouble. We had the Ritz nightclub, Sam Fox even had a bar in Tottenham. We used to buy our shirts from Davies menswear in Bruce Grove.
But sadly like most Labour controlled places, it’s gone the other way.

I grew up in Tottenham, and my old man still lives there......anyway adding to the Bruce Grove nostalgia there was also North London Home Stores, our own department store........and a huge Co-Op that had a great sports section......

Finefare - where Asda is now.

Next door to the Ship was Gordon Smith - where you could get uniforms for the local secondary schools.
