It's different if they are highly skill-based, like say Neymar. Confidence is everything to those guys. Dele was more grit and skill. He's lost some grit and determination, but if you were a 20-something millionaire, banging Pep's daughter, it'd be easy to put your feet up. Well, son, we're not paying you to do that, so bust a gut!

I think we'll see some improvement this season, but I don't know if it will last. Hopefully he's settling down.

I'm hoping missing the EURO's and seeing how England treated those players like heros is enough to push Dele on to do something special this season. If that doesn't kick him into gear, nothing will.

that tweet has seriously pissed me off, I should be too old not to care but that is a fucking passive excuse already and we havent even kicked off yet
 
I personally think if we get smashed today and overrun, the crowd will become incredibly toxic very quickly. It won’t be aimed at Nuno and so it shouldn’t, but Levy and the club will get pelters in the crowd today. Years and years of frustration will suddenly be released if pitch performance is piss poor. Levy is already shit scared of it in his opening day message.

Quite possible but I think there will also be vitriol towards Kane, there or not.
 
Running late but looking forward to being at WHL and visiting some old joints afterwards. I put my ticket on sale as City is the most dull match of the season and we’re still not ready to start the season, as per normal DL proceedings. But I’m happy to be going to back the team. Hope the crowd gets behind Nuno. We may well get humped today, but I still think he could be a great coach.

Will struggle to make the Shelf Bar meet up beforehand but if anyone wants to stay behind for a drink afterwards, I’ll probably be up for it. Unless we’re 6-0 down with 20 to go in which case I’ll probably head home early to cry.

Picked up some extra tickets so some of young neighbourhood tearaways are going to have their first stadium experience but London Transport is ensuring the day is a nightmare
