Match Tottenham v Manchester United - Carabao Cup - Thursday 19th at 8PM

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Astonishing really spence hasnt played more games and earlier. Good player and prefer him at right back to porro.
We obviously don't know the full story with Spence, but there are rumours flying around about him having some disciplinary issues.

I'm wondering if his lack of game time is linked to that as, so far, his performances have been nothing short of excellent.

If he's had a bit of 'tough love' that has helped him to iron that out, then kudos to both the manager and player. The manager for applying that, and the player for responding to it.

I've posted before that I had a mentor in Oz, who did pretty much the same with me when my levels weren't where they needed to be. It forced me to re-evaluate and, ultimately, took my levels up significantly.

I fully suspect that Spence will view AP in the same way, as he looks as though he's a level above what he was when we bought him.

What all the dense fans, who would give a coma patient 3 years minimum to turn things around don't understand, is that all these interviews are giving rivals the tools to counter us.
They are literally showing everyone what we do wrong and how to punish it almost weekly.
Oh no...

I expect all those opposition coaches are thanking their deity of choice that SKY have revealed these secrets to them.

What irony that you label other fans dense then come out with that pearler.

Maddison said the other day that Spence is so relaxed it is unbelievable. That can get confused as being a lot of things from not caring to be arrogant. I think that’s what Warnock kind of meant in a roundabout way when he said he could be conference or PL.

If you ask me it is up to the manager to get the player we saw last night on to the pitch by any means necessary. He probably the kind of player redknapp would have got a tune out of by just letting him be himself, just like he did with BAE.

Post match, did our manager admit to being tactically clueless, laughing and not being bothered by this as all the mistakes our players make will be all the tactics they will need going forward?
This "Ring Master" can take his circus elsewhere and the sooner the better imo!
Jesus, we won. I personally like a bit of chaos. Compared to the turgid crap we have put with for so long. Part of my love for spurs is the chaos, craziness and ethos of trying to play entertaining football. After all sport is for the fans, entertainment.

..... Bit late to be getting prissy.

All I did was turn your OWN insult back on you.

Suck it up, princess.

Ok, but its not what I like to see .

This idea that people who have been going to games for years, watch every game possible and interact on Spurs forums are "raging" when we win is so played out.

A few on here do it and it's quite ironic. Instead of enjoying the win themselves and sharing something positive, their first action is to call out this imagined boogeyman group for how upset they must be at the win.

WELL
FUCKING

Neither you nor I know who we are interacting with on here. I know a couple of posters in real life, but nobody else. So I’ve no idea who goes to matches, how long people have supported the club, etc. So to ascertain I’m having a go at these people is wrong.

I used the term “raging” and in hindsight, should maybe have calmed that language a bit, but I’m sure if you read my posts, I tend towards the exuberant. Maybe closer to say “it’s a shame that some specific posters can’t enjoy a result like tonight, due to their immovable negative position on our manager / owners / players / style of play.

I read last night we have no in game management. We won.

I read I was a blind clown for enjoying the result. We won.

I read that we can’t see a game out. We won.

I read that the result wasn’t important. We won.

I read our XG was shit. We won.

We were three two up last night and someone posted on the Ange thread that he should be sacked. Whilst we were winning.

People may get what they want from following the club, that’s their right. But it’s a public forum, so being constantly negative on here will lead to I and others having a pop.

And I’m sorry you didn’t find anything positive about my post and also sorry you thought it was my first action last night to call out the negativity. But I was positive and it wasn’t my first action.

Yeah I agree but there has to be a sweet spot of between Conte’s dirge and Ange’s bat shit crazy lack of control/blasting opponents that we could be watching. I think that is where the frustration comes from the ex players. They know that it only takes a few tweaks from Ange to make us a bit of a better team. (And from some of us fans too obviously). We aren’t far off and it’s part of the frustration with him.
