Match Tottenham vs Brighton Sunday 25th May 16:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thank you sir, it was a truly amazing experience. Meeting several from on here was so nice, thank you to Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman , Nutter-Naylor Nutter-Naylor , and several others.

Before the game it was joyous.
Lotta singing during the game, but actually seemed a bit odd, lack of and edge to it I think. Natural after the last few days.

I take zero from the on the pitch activity.
Could tell the boys just didn’t have their legs (or brains!)

Whether you are Ange in, out, or on the fence, today is not a day to judge.

Loved the celebration post game.

Thanks again to the forum for the advice, welcoming my wife and I, etc.

A special day.

And you got to visit La Barca although you missed out on the Full English (next time).

Glad you had an enjoyable visit despite the result.

Great to meet you and your good lady, hope the Cockney accents weren't too hard on the hearing.

As much as I loath watching how we play, and how easily we get dominated, especially in the PL - I think what Ange has achieved for us with this EL trophy, 100% outweighs our atrocious PL form.

He has removed the shackles for other managers coming in, he has largely removed the spursy tag of us never quite being able to get over the line and win when it really matters - and that, my friend, is worth it's weight in gold.

If I ever meet him in person one day, I'll be buying him beers all evening.

My take on next season is this.

We will likely need 66+ points to qualify for the CL, or twenty eight more points than this season. This equates to at least nine more wins than this season, Newcastle lost twelve games this season and qualified on the last game of this season due to others failing today.

Can any of us see us achieving this based on three or four more signings, while competing in four competitions, with the same system, tactics and manager?

Call me pessimistic, but I have seen nothing since January when Ange stated that we would see a different Spurs side when the injured players returned.

Our form, and results got worse.

If anyone disagrees, then flame away, but does Ange instill anyone here in TFC with confidence?

His final prezzer of this season was again a major embarrassment, I just wonder if Levy is as gullible as those in the media asking the questions.

Admittedly I'm caught up in the romanticism of what we've just achieved. Today was an unfriendly but necessary reminder.

I know we've largely got rid of this tag of being spursy to the core with this EL trophy win, but it does feel a bit....spursy winning our first major trophy in 41 years and the manager is so woeful in other competitions that the most sensible and logical next step is get him sacked ASAP.

In the car on the journey up , I uttered the words " I think we could get thumped today after the piss up the players had on Friday". I had a clear view of the players as the bus went past and Johnson was shitfaced drunk s So I was quite surprised that we went in 1-0 up - We were given a penalty and Solanke duly stepped up a slotted the ball in . Half time 1-0 Tottenham . Now I remembered earlier in the season where their manager did a job on us at half time and they came out and reversed a 0-2 deficit and finished 3-2 . He did exactly the same today Brighton came out and put us under intense pressure and we gave away 2 avoidable corners . Now my Dad - (God rest his soul) - always said "don't let the ball bounce in the box , when the ball hits the pitch it becomes dangerous" . We were guilty of that twice and they scored from both . Then we tried to get back into the game but we kept losing the ball cheaply and Brighton were back on the attack .
The songs - well obviously the "Champions of Europe we know what we are" Was sung throughout the game , especially after the penalty put us in front . When Brighton scored they sang "champions league , you're having a laugh" .To which we replied "Champions of Europe you'll never sing that" . Brighton were in good voice , but we sung "Oh when the Spurs go marching in" even though we were losing , we kept singing it . Brighton were given a penalty which they scored 1-3 and then they hit one from outside the box into the top corner to make it 1-4 Full Time . We had chances - we didn't put them away , whereas Brighton were completely bang up for the challenge and were alive to loose balls and wayward passes/crosses . It was a nothing game for us , last game of the season when we've already got a place in Champions League next season . Yes I wanted to win today but I'm glad we didn't get any injuries . Our next game will be against Inter Milan or PSG in the UEFA Super Cup . We could also end up playing CONMEBOL Sudamericana in the UEFA-CONMEBOL Club Challenge . That could see us with 3 trophies in the cabinet in the space of a few months . I know it's all if's but's and pie in the sky but it's possible .

none of them have played under a cowboy like postecoglou. you cant even call him a manager, he has 9 men standing on the halfway line FFS! puts fucking fullbacks into cam spots!

just watch the improvement when an actual football person comes in. the squad is not as bad as whats being made out.

maddison was leicester's best player, bissouma was brightons, solanke was bournemouth's, now they apparently are all shit and wouldnt even get into their former clubs, we can sign anyone you like under postecoglou and 3 months time everyone will be saying they are shit as well.

under this manager for 2 years players confidence will be on the floor. im not saying we have a great squad, but its far fucking better than 17th!

Maddison's not shit - and he would walk into Leicester's team.
Bissouma looks past his best
Solanke has only ever had one good season in his career. We were mugged off.

No manager will improve Biss or Solanke. A good manager would not want or play them - especially Solanke.

They might get a bit more out of Maddison.

It was a pleasure to meet you today and I hoped you like most of the experience.

Safe travels home and hopefully we will see you back again some day..

COYS.

To get pumped so badly just after winning a major trophy does not sit well. We deserve to enjoy our major achievement but it was important to show glimpses of what was to come next season and not get pumped at home.... I think this result alone might have been the absolute final straw and green light for Levy to pull the trigger without feeling he'll get eternally hounded for his decision.

We didn’t start Romero, VdV, Porro and Udogie together today- we shouldn’t have hoped for a win, or expected anything else but a defeat. And it’s all Levy’s fault for not backing Ange with a Romero quality backup for Romero :(

Winning the cup was fantastic and I have great appreciation for us winning it .
BUT!
There is only one barometer for judging a manager and that is the League , it's week in , week out hard graft , where every weakness can and is exposed . At the end of the season it tells you exactly where you stand , it doesn't lie .
If you have gone poorly you can't gloss it over , if you've overachieved it shows you .
You can't con anybody , it's there in black and white , bullshit and bluster all you want but it's there for the world to see .
Cup aside the league season has been abysmal , shockingly poor and I hope I never see another as long as I live .
OUTSTANDING it wasn't .
