Last time I checked mate average is not bad.
I get that he is not as good as our fixture stars, and his role as a squad player proves as much. But the dude gets a very unfair amount of abuse from factions of our fanbase.
In his years with us I can think of one goal against us that has been cause by him, and that happened against Barcelona on Wednesday. So it's not like he has that against him.
If he does something that is obviously bad we should of course point it out. But backwards passes and the odd missed pass seems a bit strange when most of our other players does that same thing but don't get anywhere near the same amount of heat
