Re: Loans thread

Kudus Oyenuga was again an unused sub as St. Johnstone drew 0-0 with Aberdeen away from home.

Re: Loans thread

I heard from a guy I tweet at quite a bit that Kane had a very tidy game in central midfield - a position he played quite a bit for our U18s.

Re: Loans thread

Didn't work out well for Alan Smith either!

Millwall fans on the forum I looked at weren't overly impressed with him being in midfield. Be interesting to see if he carries on there, keeping Ryan Mason out of the first XI if he does!

TBH they'd probably work quite well together in a 4-3-3 if they had a destroyer too.

By the way:

Re: Loans thread

Yup saw the Townsend one on dailymotion before it was taken down. Would love to be able to link all goals/assists etc... but seems impossible in this day and age.

Nathan Byrne's loan at Bournemouth has been cancelled - odd...

he's a RB isn't he...? maybe Harry's regretting letting Corluka leave a bit hastily and realised he MIGHT need some cover after all...!!

Alternatively, he wants Walker as a RW to challenge Lennon, and NOW needs a RB!!

either that or he's shite and Bournemouth don't want him!

Re: Loans thread

He's had an ankle injury since September. Only just back to fitness and played 90 minutes against Leyton Orient in the 7-3.

Re: Loans thread

Bournemouth fans takes on his from a couple of days ago when it was clear on his twitter he was heading back to Spurs.

In fairness, he'd not be in the 16, so maybe he should go. Best for everyone.

Never got to see enough of him, which was a shame, and got injured at the wrong time.

From what I saw of Byrne and puuttting it politely, he would be better off elsewhere.

Awful injury for the young lad. The lack of reserve team fixtures restricts his chances of gaining match fitness. Perhaps a return to Spurs might be a good option for him.

Very glad that he did make it back and good luck for the future.

Christ he could not stay on two feet on the wing or at right back, put him in the centre of midfield and we'd be lucky to up! Not good enough for league football IMO.

I did think at times he resembled Bamby on ice.

Excellent attitude and work rate. He can certainly cross a great ball. Showed great promise on the right of midfield before his injury.

I think Byrne's been given a hard time by some of the fans while he isn't in a position to prove himself. After our first choice full backs, Byrne is streets ahead of the competition.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with Byrne when he played as has been said already, good crosser of the ball and as far as I could see dedicated to the cause.

Re: Loans thread

I love the range of comments you get from fans, some saying he's not good enough for league football, another saying there was nothing wrong and one saying he is streets ahead of the competition.

Brilliant!
