No idea, it's baffling, but no way managers are slipping in clauses that say they can't be sacked.
This whole notion of such contract wackiness only ever came about due to the timing of the Mourinho sacking, there's never been any solid confirmation, just speculation that he must've had a clause that he'd get more money if he won a cup.
On paper it makes sense that he would get a bonus for winning a trophy. But there's no way to confirm that without looking at the paperwork.
But that's something that Levy is big on. Bonuses for performance.

If your a manager that Spurs want to sign you would only sign if you get money if sacked before end of each season
we have a habit of sacking managers so find it hard to get new manager (even paying big wages) so as a manager you would want a backstop
