I really can’t see the value of a co-commentator. It’s not as though they have the time to analyse what’s just happened, unlike a studio pundit (let’s not go there…), so all they can almost ever do is tell us what we’ve just seen, in the main.

I don’t recall Barry Davies, David Coleman, Brian Moore, et al, with the need for another voice.

There is a guy who does the comms for the Bundesliga when they decide to air one for free on YouTube. Just him.
Talks when he needs to but largely allows the game to tell the story. It's a much better experience

Yeah remember seeing him on football first a few times. His analysis was appalling. Incoherent and dim. Werent surprised he was hooked by sky. Medoicre player as well for liverpool. Big fish in small pond at coventry. Says it all.
 
Although I'm gonna have to add former Gooner & Spammers cunt Stewart Robson to the list, was just playing EA FC 25 Career mode, and when they were talking about how me as Spurs hadn't conceded many goals, in my match against the Spammers he says "I hope for the "neutrals" Spurs concede the first goal today".

I may have put this in here before but years ago, when the kids were young and money was tight, my better half used to iron clothes at home for a collection/delivery service. Smith was one of the customers. I offered to pay her to leave the iron on the back of one of his shirts.

She never did it though
