Impossible to judge a #10 when they receive ZERO passes in the areas that #10's operate.
Come off it.

I know you rated him prior to coming here (like me) but quit with the ridiculous excuses. Have a look at what he does with possession the times he has had the ball. He holds and holds and holds...afraid to shoot and afraid to pass until he loses the ball.

I still have hope but my God these Bundesliga exports over the years have been scary, it's an absolute fraud league.

We're constantly told this though as if we have no right to expect any kind of quality or standards.

When is he going to come good? Will it take a season? 2? 3?

He didn't do much today I agree.

Leeds was MUUCH more encouraging but he was anchored to the left half space with Udogie and Odobert playing triangles. He's a player that wants to connect and play with his teammates.

There was no teamwork on the ball in the entire team today.

Against Wolves he was absolutely awful, today awful, most games average to bad.

He can come good though for sure and might do in time. No way does Sarr deserve to be dropped for him currently though, no way.

For me it's either he drops deeper to collect the ball and move the ball up progressively like Madders does, or someone from the other 2 CMs must move higher to connect the space from defence to him. Currently Palhinha-Bentancur pairing is suffocating him as the above two points just couldn't happen.

Sarr isn't the solution to what Xavi is currently struggling to provide.

Can we try the following at least once though...

JP
Sarr - Berg

JP
Berg - Xavi

JP
Sarr - Xavi

When he had it today he didn't do enough with it and often gave it away.

He's played ok in patches but he is not the player I was told he was by those who claimed to know better.

He's been average so far and needs to improve.

I expected him to struggle. Wirtz looks like a school boy playing men’s football in the premier league. Him and Xavi are very similar so it’s no surprise. They were getting all the time in the world on the ball in the Bundesliga but in the prem it’s 100 miles an hour and much much more physical. I honestly see both of them back in Germany in a few years.

I think he still needs time to settle in and get used to the rest of the team, he didn't have a pre-season.
Expectations are ridiculously high, especially as he came after losing out on MGW and Eze (spit!).
Think we need to show some patience with Xavi.

Its why Id much rather Wharton than Stiller even though I think the German is more attainable and more attacking than Adam. The physical demands here are mental. I honestly think we should buy Hackney anyway he help us play through thd thirds more

Good job Levy has been shitcanned , he would have bought Tower Hamlets as it’s not been gentrified yet.

Edit: The cheap option

A little tweak is coming in much deeper to collect the ball off the centre backs , his marker is not gonna follow him that far into our zone. It's what maddison does well, and they find it hard to pick up on him because of it, probably why Kane does it too.
Staying high up the pitch only gets his tiny frame crowed and out muscled

Totally agree on this too!

He's gotta look back & see how Modric did it for us back in the day & take notes!
