Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yes, I'd ignore the rest of the post as well. There is not a single thing you can say to dispute it. Ignoring the questions put to you is certainly your ethos.

Who started against United, Woolwich and Chelsea at the end of last season and was then given a new 5 year contract? Kieran Trippier. Kieran Trippier is our 1st choice RB. Mauricio Pochettino is our manager, not you. Therefore his actions determine who is our first choice RB.

See, I backed my statements up with facts. Cold and hard. No exaggeration. You should try doing the same.

You criticising exaggeration is a hoot btw.

I don't really understand why John is getting such fierce resistance , if Woolwich were still selling to Man City and Man U we'd all be mugging them off , I don't feel as strongly as John but I certainly feel it's disappointing to sell a player that strongly benefits our team to a team that are weak in that position and will massively benefit them and they are competing at the same table as us.

I'm not saying you have to agree with John but surely you can appreciate where he's coming from.

I have been explicit in saying I wanted Walker to stay. Then John made up that I was happy to see him go. I called him out on it and he starts a tangent of moving the goalposts about the ethos of the club, how big clubs don't sell to rivals, how Trippier hadn't usurped him. All were provably false and I presented why. Every time he gets proved wrong he just presents you a new question he thinks makes a point. He'll never answer yours directly though. Basically he pissed me off lying about me and I dug into the debate.

As I've said, if this was 2 years ago I'd be much more disappointed but Walker is coming up to the age Lennon was when he lost his yard of pace. He became half the player. When Walker loses that he won't be a world record signing player, that is for sure. Losing Walker is not critical.

S'ok lads - the dippers are always on hand to add a bit of perspective...

who started the vast majority of games since Trippier has been at Spurs ?
Because Trippier was being coached to the requisite level by Poch. A level Poch clearly feels he has now achieved and is of a higher level than Walker. You simply cannot say that the man who was dropped for Chelsea, Woolwich and United is 1st choice. Trippier was and is our first choice RB. Hence the starts, the new contract and Walker's sale.

I think Walker is a bit better but I'm not arrogant enough to suggest I know better than Poch. Which seems to be rife with some in this thread. Maybe I'm wrong about Walker being better. If Poch thinks so.

Seeing Walker go is truly saddening know matter how you look at it. 50mil is a ton of money that can be used for the club. Seeing him go to a rival is a fucking tragedy though! I just feel like all this came about because Poch started playing Trips. The first sign of competition in his position and all of a sudden he wanted out of the club?
