It's times like this I remember the feeling when Gent scored their second at Wembley. I felt something drop in my chest. It was only the Europa League, but I had always hoped we might go far in it, and the disappointment was heartbreaking. I also remember the extent to which Woolwich fans in particular rubbed our faces in it.

So satisfying. As shit as they’ve been all season there was always the danger of them flooking their way to this trophy. A European trophy and CL football would have been unbearable, especially with the child catcher leaving with the sort of hyperbole that would embarrass Trump.

Isn’t there still a chance that they finish 7th and have to start their Thursday night campaign a day after the season ends?

Either way, it’s all good.
