So...... apparently Kane just had 2 "tap ins". Bollox..

Both of those goals needed such composure. The first needed fast reactions and anyone who thinks he didnt pick his spot is just deluded. The 2nd, just watch it.. The power and precision of that header absolutely top drawer.

Either of those chances could have been hit at a defender or keeper on the line, the 2nd considering the pressure and time of the game just shows why Harry is what we all know he is.

I also love the reaction by the team to both goals. When we do it , it is over reaction, when any other team do it, it is passion. Hopefully, this is the "team spirit" that is being instilled by the new management and long may it continue.

All the bandwagon munchers are out today. Flags on cars etc... The radio played the commentary 3 times when Kane scores. . I'll have to put with this until England's knocked out.

Seriously ?

Have you seen what happens when Italy progress in any Tournament. Our town becomes Green, White and Red, which isn't an issue and we all join in the party, having a large Italian community helps of course, but no one celebrates like the Italians do and fair play to them when they do. I can only imagine what is going on over in Rome at that time.

The first was a relative 'tap in', the second was a very skilled finish imho that could have gone horribly wrong in the hands of a lesser striker. If Sterling had been on the end of that header he would have somehow managed to get the ball stuck under his feet.

I could see a couple in that team skewing the first chance wide or clattering it into bodies in the 6 yard area. Sterling looked completely lost and I don't know why. Whether he is trying to hard I don't know. I also think he is at times incredibly greedy, just beat one man and lay the ball off is all it needs sometimes. Maybe he is feeling the pressure and is trying too hard to live up to his hype ?

Either way, glad both chances fell to our Harry :)

As fun as that was to watch the bedlam in the England end, I still (and never will) for the life of me understand how it can ever be a natural reaction to turn the phone/camera on yourself while you 'celebrate'...
Where's the impulsive, instinctiveness of simply letting go and not caring what anyone thinks...?
Or is that the new modern-day instinct... to make sure everyone's watching you?
"What Orwell failed to predict was that we’d buy the cameras ourselves, and that our biggest fear would be that nobody was watching."

...also, how novel is it to see everyone celebrating OUR PLAYERS' goals??
When you just know had he missed, they'd have gone back to calling him a Mouth Breathing Mong!

The Header is a great finish. Would have been slaughtered had he missed it
Got great power out of not a lot and right inside the post

Really hope it’s just a knock for Alli and he comes back for Belgium, he is a big game player and we need him for this tournemant.

My thinking is that it can’t be too serious if they kept him on, but at the same time keeping him on might have damaged the muscle even further.

What’s the word on this are there any reports?

Trippier is good against weak opposition that give him time on the ball, just like when playing for us he will come up short against the better teams.

He's not a bad player, but he inability to beat a man down the wing makes him very limited.
Seeing a fullback beat his man happens so infrequently
I mean even walker with all his pace perfected that Ronaldo chop back cos he had to turn back virtually every time

I love tripps first touch out of his feet and cross technique

So the white rose of Yorkshire is insulting your Irish wife? Jesus, what next? Tiny Clanger insulting Soup Dragons and iron chickens? Get over yourself mate, you’re sounding ridiculous. Heaven forbid if you’ve actually been oppressed - or your wife - which I doubt. You sound like a privileged bloke moaning about stuff to people who are in the same boat as you. My wife’s parents are Polish and Hungarian, and she has a Russian Grandmother, they have a beef, but they don’t go on about it. Cornwall’s sufferings pale into insignificance Ben - and it’s a cheap shot to bring your wife into this. I’m still struggling with your objection to the white rose symbol - are you serious?

Maybe I've come across as more militant than I intended - sherbets were involved. Of course the rose doesn't offend my wife, I just - perhaps foolishly - brought it up as an example of how symbols etc can mean different things to different people.

As for the rest of my post, again I struggle to see what the issue is. I'm hardly clamouring for independence, I'm just proud of where I'm from. Unlike the scousers, Cornwall did actually used to be a separate country. Which isn't what I want now, of course. I'm just proud.
