Chavs ended up 5th in the league . They completely fluked the CL win. That was even luckier than our CL run tothe final last season. The great Roberto Di matteo who won them the CL was also then sacked not long into the next season.
I'm very happy with Mou so far.
I love that Dele is back in his natural position, Lucas is getting starts again, and Dier is back in CM to provide a physical presence we've been sorely lacking. We actually look like a team with a plan to dominate defensively and score goals.
I hope Ndombele can form a partnership with Dier as our first choice CM.
I love Winks but prefer Ndombele's creativity. It'd be a shame if our record signing became a second-choice player.
Glad that Sissoko has been moved out of CM and to the bench. Yes he is a professional and a hard worker, but he's just not cut out to be a first choice CM for us.
Hope Eriksen rides the bench and can be sold in the winter xfer window for something. His sulk has been a cancer on the squad for some time now. Jan and Toby can stick around and leave on free xfers in the summer cause we'll need CB depth for the rest of the season.
Would like to see Lo Celso getting more minutes and am hoping to see him at either CAM or one of the wings today. Sess too- was impressed with him last time at Red Star.

Pochs highest finish was two places above Redknapp. Once.
Twice he finished one place above him.
Once the same.
Both finished 5th once.
Poch went two rounds further in the CL.

Good facts again sammy. And definitely right on about difference between Redknapp and Poch much closer than difference between Mourinho and either of them. Mourinho shits all over them in every single aspect of being a manager. Mourinho has won 2 CLs , Redknapp's history in that competition is to qualify for it once. Lawl.
But mocking Redknapp for not being as good as Jose is like mocking Pardew or Moyes.

I’m tired of MVP and others laughing off the comparison to Redknapp and Poch, and literally their killer blow is “Poch qualified for the CL three more times”......
While forgetting he was here for two more years. Arry got 4th twice in three full seasons.

In all seriousness. Our defence is Championship quality at best. I remember when we had the best defensive record in the league a few years back. That's seems like a long, long time ago. It needs to be completely rebuilt under Jose.
