I don't know where you got your stats from, but these are off the Wiki page:

Liverpool's back 5 play the overwhelming number of games. 'Rotation' is minimal.

He's our only senior, match-fit left back.

The tactic on Tuesday was for Rose to hold back and allow Aurier on the other wing to press forward.

Rose offered nothing in attack for this reason. It was clearly Mourihno inspired and was new to me.

Aha, and was being sh*t in defense also part of the tactical plan? Not closing down attackers and failing clearing the ball that led to 1st goal?

If so - then my mistake! Then he followed through the instructions to perfection....

I mean you literally are saying that this position should be more defensively sound in our game-plan, and yet you have issue with playing way better defending player in this position? Just can't get your thinking.
Just like with Rose- after bad start with Olympiacos Wanyama was our only remaining senior DM. But he was not even named to bench. BECAUSE OF PERFORMANCE LEVELS. Even though he was also only senior player of this position.

I wrote "equivalent of full game" (hence minutes played / 90)
When we talk about playing load, coming on as 85th minute substitute is not the same as playing from whistle to whistle, is that?

Again, not concept hard to grasp in my book.

So we go in to this 5 games unbeaten.

Son in his last 7 games has 6 goals, 3 assists, 2 motm, 1 red card.
The front 3 have 5 goals and 3 assists between them in Mourinhos 2 games.

Paul Tierney is on VAR duties - he was ref for the Leicester defeat.

Moura had a poor 15% win rate from his 13 appearances until Mourinhos 2 wins, putting him up to 27%
Dier on the other hand has 8 appearances with our highest win rate at 63%

Gazzaniga has conceded 12 in 7 appearances in the league so far. 0 clean sheets although arguably man of the match against Liverpool.
Our 1 league clean sheet this season had Lloris, Aurier, Toby, Jan, Rose starting - 9 games ago.
But - in 4 home games against Bournemouth we are winning 13-0.

Aurier has 4 assists so far. Only Son has more (5).

Wanyama as far as I know hasn't been injured yet hasn't even appeared on our bench for 10 games.

So what does all this nonsense mean?
That my work day has been pretty slow.

We win 4-0!
COYS!

You don't like Rose?

Rose is our only fit, specialist left back. Davies in injured, Sessegnon has only played for 20 minutes this season and you want to risk Vertonghen (a CB - yes I know he's played FB for Belgium) after an extended 'injury'?

No thanks. Rose for me.

As for the Liverpool stats.

Allison
VVD
Robertson
TAA played virtually every game.

Last season, Matip I think was injured and Lovren played instead.

So their back 5 played the overwhelming majority of games and therefore get to know and anticipate each other's game - just as our defence should be doing.

Okay, I'll give up on explaining here. I am feeling like you cannot read.

But last small try - LIVERPOOL TRIO OF VVD, TAA and Robertson WERE BEST 3 DEFENDERS IN THE LEAGUE LAST YEAR. Yea, I would not mind either to play best players in defense. But Rose is in awful form.
And I'd rather take a chance on someone else there.
Just like Poch took chance on bringing on Eriksen instead of DM in Olympiacos game, not Wanyama who was not even picked to bench (even though he also "Expert of this position", but in awful form)

I must admit I don't follow your thinking and have no idea why Wanyama has entered the discussion. However to play along, as far as I'm aware, Skipp is ahead of Wanyama in terms of DM. At least he's had minutes this season.

My position is absolutely clear - Rose at left back.

Who would you play v. Bournemouth?

So you're still disputing that the Scousers have a back 5 that play virtually every game and there is little or no rotation (barring injuries)?

Using Liverpool as an example with their unsustainable injury luck is not a great example. Look at every other team and you see why squads rotate to keep players fresh and reduce injury risk.

And I'd rather take a chance on someone else there.

Your whole premise is based up your hatred of Rose and the willingness to play anyone (Wanyama -since he's entered the discussion for some unknown reason. I hear Whiteman fancies himself at left back - as all goalkeepers do)

I'll try again. Who instead of Rose?

Coming on for Spurs in the 85th minute is normally a pretty frantic situation to be involved in.
If it be desperately trying to get something from a game, or clinging on to something - we rarely have nice chilled out final 5-10 minutes of games where we see out a 2-3 goal lead.

Liverpool don't rotate because they have five classy players that play week in, week out and develop an unconscious understanding of each other's game. This results in them playing as a cohesive defensive unit and anticipate each other's moves and cover any errors

Something that our defence is sorely missing.

Anyway all this talk of the Scousers is making me feel queasy!

And the they get injured and can’t do that as easily.

And the they get injured and can’t do that as easily.

Granted.

However we play a combination of back 3, 4 or 5

Pick any two from 3 at CB (Sanchez, Alderweireld, Dier), Vertonghen back soon! Davies had a stint last season

Rose/Davies at LB. Pick any one from two. Sessegnon waiting in the wings.

Aurier at RB(Foyth may come into the equation) Sissoko's also had a stint. Anyone's guess who'll play there!(Although Aurier has had a good couple of games and appears current first choice. KWP is in the wilderness)

The Scousers play the keeper (barring the Wham clown) and the same back 4 every week. A system they know instinctively.

You can't say this about our defence.

As for the visitors, captain Simon Francis will miss Saturday's game following his red card in the home defeat to Wolves. Phillip Billing is also unavailable through suspension. The Cherries are also without Joshua King and David Brooks. The Norwegian has a thigh injury, while a foot problem means the Welshman is missing.
David Brooks....good player. Glad to see him out.
