Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

skill wise he looks the guy, But I worry he will never be fit enough to play in the EPL, he's had 4-5 months now (yes he's had a few injuries) he looks cream crackered after 10 mins, his running style also makes him look ponderous

He's still better in possession than anybody we have. Can dictate a whole game. He bossed Man City last year in CL with Lyon. Needs a physical enforcer to patrol next to him. Dier is not it and Sissoko can maybe be a stand in while we find the next DM. Would be absolutely stupid to not try and build the side around him.

What we are missing in midfield is this

I mean, its not relatively hard (safe passing) but Ndombele is the guy to provide this.

Correction: It's very, very hard.

Players who can receive and advance the ball under PL-level pressure are extremely rare and valuable.

Safe passing within opposition block isn't hard. Which is what my comment was more aimed at. Dier and Sissoko both fail at this.

Counter pressing press resistance, ball carrying and the ability to take it under pressure and turn however is difficult to do at the top level and we only have Ndombele capable of doing that consistently and well. Which is why its confusing as to why he doesn't start.

Well Chelsea dominated our two giant zombies yesterday with 5ft6 Kante and 5ft 8 Kovacic. Wolves the week before Moutinho 5ft 6 and Neves 5 10. The week before that Thiago 5.8, Kimmich 5.9 and Coutinho 5.7 played us off the park.

Is this really a thing now? We are worried about our CM's being better at head tennis than football ?

Ndombele is 5.11 by the way. Taller than all the above.

I don’t get the obsession with height and size. If a player is shit, don’t play him. If a player is very good, play him. Simple.

I swear some of these size cunts would never have played Messi, literally the GOAT.

Dembele was an enigma there won't be another with his ball retention dribbling and defensive skills thats why he was so good in a midfield 2 i believe with the mids we have we should play a midfield 3 .
