Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As much as I agree with the transfer ban, they still paid £40m for Kovacic and £50m+ for Pulisic during it.
Didn't Barcelona get given a transfer ban a couple of seasons back, it hasn't stopped them lining anyone up for the next window or winning anything.
City might get a ban it might even be deferred, whatever happens it won't affect them that much, it certainly won't allow a team called Tottenham to go past them and nab the title.

Pulisic was bought the season before but had been out on loan .

The Kovaacic one was interesting because they funded his transfer by selling players who, bar David Luiz, had come through their academy. In effect deadwood sold last summer bought them in £40 million the price of Kovacic

I have no idea how they get clubs to take players off them for the sums they do.

They already have deals in place this summer with the likes of Morata who they are selling to Atletico Madrid for around the sum Werner is said to be costing them.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Zouma arrives on a seasons loan with a obligation to buy for say £25m in 21/22.

Okay I didn’t see that bit but I still don’t think we have the £25m available especially when our full backs need changing too

I'm hoping we could raise some funds by selling. The only players I wouldn't listen to offers for right now would be Ndombele, Sessegnon and maybe Lo Celso, just because they are all young enough, have only been here a few months and need some game time to add value.

The priority has to be a DCM/6.

After that I'd say LB is more important than RB. There are some good cheap options out there like the kid at Olympiacos - Tsimikas - or the kid at AZ - Wijndal - for example.

I also really like the Eze deal. Cheap but with bags of upside potential. And he's strong enough for the PL.

Then we can start thinking about CB's. Upamecano,Todibo, Zagadou ? and eventually RB's.

EDIT
Another LB who I think would be reasonably cheap is Ball-Toure (Monaco) and they are having to shift a shit load of players this summer too.

This needs to be one of the first things we sort imo. We only have one option that’s currently viable and that’s one of the worst RBs in the league. So bad that mourinho has decided to take any defensive work away from him and put him on the edge of the opposition box.

DM/RB > LB > CB > ST > A punt on someone like Eze

Lets be honest, this isn't happening.

We aren't going to listen to offers for Kane, Dele, Son, Bergwijn and others, because it'll still cost us more to replace them in the long run.

The likes of Lamela, Lucas, Sissoko, Foyth, KWP, Amos, Rose and Aurier are players I'd imagine we'd listen to offers for, as long as they make sense for us.

We dreamed of winning the CL look how that turned out, dreams don't come true.
