Antwerp could even afford to miss two sitters and still win, thoroughly deserved to beat us. Lethargic, arrogant excuse of a performance. Lessons learnt hopefully.

Very embarrassing. We should win all of this games, but it also is the biggest game of the season for the opponent, so if our mentality is not at 100, we can lose these games. We'll win or at least qualify anyway so it doesn't matter but what a bad showing.

Anyone blaming Mourinho is a fucking idiot.

The starting 11 was enough to win, let alone introducing Kane, Son, Hojbjerg, Lucas and Lamela. Individual performances was the problem today. The likes of Dele and Bergwijn won't get a game for a while now.

Baloney that Jose doesn't get blame.

Taking off GLC and Vinicius who were our two best players in the first half when we were down a goal was awful, maybe we will find out they were hurt but there was zero indication of that.

He also waited way too long to take off Alli, Bale and Bergwijn. It was clear all 3 were flat and at least one should have been off by the 30 minute mark.

All of our attacking players apart from Son and Kane are shite. They can't create fuck all most of the time, get easy disposssesd, hold onto the ball for too long or runs into crowd. You can't expect nothing from them, that's why Kane was moved to the roll of creator.

The 11 he started with played like strangers, which gave Antwerp more and more confidence. We never regained the initiative. By the time he made changes it was too late. Antwerp had become dominant. The buck stops with Mourinho.
We played our "standard" formation 4-2-3-1. We weren't doing anything at all crazy tactically.

We rotated heavily but that's what you do with Europa.

Jose wasn't out there yelling for Davies to give the ball away, for Bergjwin to not put in effort, for Dele to pass to the other team.

You could say he trusted his depth too much, that would be a fair criticism yes. But it's not a knock out game so you can allow that. This match is simply on our supposed "great" depth players 1. not putting effort in and 2. playing like shit.

That's the issue though, right? You can't just throw guys onto the pitch. There doesn't seem to have been much thought into the subs outside of "we're playing bad and I'm mad."
Yes you're right but the quality of the individuals coming on should inject some form of urgency and quality in what we did

Every time I see Winks on the pitch I think I can blame Mourinho.

Disgraceful performance. Clueless and gutless. Once again we have no idea how to break down a packed defence. No creativity no width. Auriers crossing terrible. We fell into the trap of thinking we had a good squad. We dont. Terrible substitutions from jose. Son and lamela never ever play early pass to put someone through.
Rant over

Mourinho deserves more than his fair share of the blame.

Anyone can sub guys on. There was no tactical plan at all from the subs. Bale, Bergwijn, Lo Celso are all much better progressive passers than Winks, Lamela and Lucas. So what happens? Shocker, we have no one that can make the final pass without Ndombele/Lo Celso.

Taking Vinny off was probably the worst of the bunch. If you want Kane on that's fine, but have him play a deeper role and be the creative focal point. Winks stayed on the whole 90, but that isn't Mourinho's fault?

Mou was mad and tried to send a message to the guys and it backfired completely.
