I really appreciate what a straightforward guy Son is. No crazy family memebers putting ideas in his head about moving to Real Madrid. No being a headache for the manager by whining about position, workrate blah blah blah. He just does what's being asked of him to the best of his ability.
He'll get a fair and reasonable wage bump, and he doesn't have the greed to just demand more and more.
So rather than running off with his tail between his legs to Real Madrid or whatever for a token trophy, he's raising his game yet again to try to achieve it here. It's gonna be so much sweeter once he succeeds.
