(3 points/4 points.... The point remains.)

So then league position shouldn't be a stick to bash us with right now, should it....?
What point remains, you haven't made one? If through your implications it was I didn't state how many points we are off then why not accept the answer I gave by response?

Who's bashing? It's factual, it's being said where we are in the league, then where we could be if other teams win their games in hand on us.

The point is when it suits people's agenda they'll act like it's number of points that matter, but the next moment (such as this) some of those same people are hamming up our league position.

My expectation this season with Jose and team was always win a cup and get us back into champions league whether it’s through Europa League or getting top 4.

The incredible position at the top until the Liverpool game was due to our team performing well. We could have been further ahead in points if we didn’t have the defensive issues conceding those late goals.

Everything is won and lost by fine margins. This just shows that we are still lacking in a couple of key details to gain those points that we lost.

I don’t understand the overreaction on here when we know that we are building. If we didn’t expect us to challenge for the league title at the beginning of the season, then why are we so upset now? No one is entitled to beat any teams. The teams in the league are stronger than ever. I see lots of posters on here saying we should beat this or that team. Are we so good and been a winning side for so long that we consider ourselves world beaters all of a sudden?

The original 433 we was playing when we thrashed Southampton, united and went 3-0 up vs west ham was working. Why we've changed it to 4231 and 442 I don't know. We need to get back to ndombele a bit deeper turning people and springing attacks. Right now we seem unable to consistently get out of those deep situations under pressure like we was when we was using ndombele correctly and he was in form. We need to go back to that. I have no problem doing what we did vs city but there's a time and a place for it.

Totally. At least we were scoring goals back then and were fun to watch.

We are way too reliant on Kane & Son and other teams are figuring us out.

And we’re way too reliant on those two because we have adopted a very defensive counterattacking style. Sometimes we have to start games on our front foot.

I assume Mourinho has chosen this style because of our frailties with our CBs but as the season goes on, more teams will figure out how to cut out the passes that feed Son & Kane.

Mourinho has to somehow change things.

That’s just how Mourinho plays against all the top 8 teams I fear.

Some people need to get a grip.

Two unfortunate results against arguably the best team in the world right now, last year's champions league winners and this year's PL winners, at a ground which is a fortress and accumalated the second highest points ever in PL history last year. And err, Leicester 😂 who to be fair look like they are going for another title run and are a dangerous side this year.

Imagine talking about sacking the manager after these 2 defeats. No one likes losing. What's worse is that had bergwin scored that goal we wouldn't even be having this conversation right now.

All this talk of fancy football. Sorry, but this is Tottenham hotspur. We haven't won anything in decades. Where is this fancy football? Because iv never seen it. Its a myth. If it wasn't, where are the trophies?

People need to relax and just get behind the manager and the club and stop complaining about the fucking style of football. For me, I'm excited that mourinho is manager. He has brought a bit of life and excitement back into the dressing room and at the club, and anyone with a bit of fairness can see what he is trying to do with regards to the football. He's willing to fight for this club and people were touting him as "mourinhos back" like two weeks ago. Now we abandon him after 2 unlucky results?

We are never going to be able to compete with the huge clubs that go out spending 200+ million every season. However Mourinho can grind us out results if we are going to be serious.

Please, this talk of sacking the manager after losing to 2 title contenders is fucking embarrassing. This won't be the last time we lose this season. Neither will it be for the likes of Leicester and Liverpool. Its going to be a mad and long season. But let's not behave like deluded manc fans and abandon the new ethos after 2 unlucky results.

I think it's our 2nd worst start to a league campaign since 2015 :sonhmm:
That’s correct.

Dropping yet another late two points in the draw at Crystal Palace was pretty bad as well and set the tone for the week. Molineux next Sunday looks daunting all of a sudden.
