anyone missing?
Not that I can think of.

You could probably categorise them this way :

Skipp - Very possible he will be good enough to be part of Spurs first team next season

Sessegnon - Looking good for him to get into Spurs first team next season, but still work to do to be a top LB.

White, Clarke, Eyoma, Okedina, Parrott, Austin - Re-assess at end of season/pre-season whether they need a further loan to get them up to a standard good enough to play at Spurs. I'd guess we might get one maybe two who are, most will need a 2nd loan and then make a judgement as to whether they will step up.

Others - Re-assess at end of season, but likely the choices will be 'not good enough for Spurs, so sell/release' or loan out at a higher level before making a final judgement. Some like CCV and Roles are probably a decent standard but not fancied by coaches on past, but might still come good ?

A long way to go and with no guarantees...

Reguilon / Sessegnon
Aurier / Tanganga
Skipp / White
Hojbjerg / Winks
NDombele / Sissoko

hard work and a rather large slice of fortune

Agreed

Its probably true that on average a good academy (and Spurs have that) is lucky to get one (or maybe 2 in a good year, 3 in an exceptional year) into the first team squad - and the secret is to try to do that every year so you build up group of say half a dozen on the fringes of first team, and many of them u21 so they don't count towards squad numbers.

Spurs problem is the academy has been practically ignored in terms of regularly developing players from it, so we don't have a ready made pool of players on the fringes of the first team, just a backlog of youth players we hope will get the experience this season. And as you say no guarantees.

Window's gone a bit quiet
As I said not expecting but on the other hand just 1 player if they can actually improve us whereas the other top clubs don't seem to be investing , that could be the difference , that could propel us. Maybe now is the time to act.

I'm not one that's desperate for 3-4 signings every window, but I do think an honest effort to make even just a single change in the areas of greatest need each window helps stave off a lot of rot and complacency in the squad.

First priority is Jose to make a decision whether he wants Rodon or Sanchez in the EL squad.
IMO he will choose Rodon.
Then, if the Eriksen rumours are to be believed then it is feasible JM uses the EPL non-HG slot to get Eriksen in for domestic games only but for EL games maybe Lamela will be discarded?

No way we are interested in an old CB that cant even make the Napoli starting XI.
We need quality not scrubs

Agree all that is possible - provided Whiteman or Gazzaniga is dropped from PL squad to accommodate Eriksen..

Only issues are that by not registering a player, any re-sale value is bound to take a hit - the only material one is probably Sanchez whose contract runs until 24 and is still young.

Lamela's resale value is pretty low I imagine as his contract expires in 2022, his injury record is horrendous and he's on a high salary - in fact Spurs may need to subsidise his salary to get rid of him.

BTW this is how Spurs stand for EL and PL squads.

Club Trained - 4 ( Kane, Bale, Winks, Whiteman, )
Other Assoc Trained 2 (Hart, Dele, )
Overseas Trained 17 (Lloris, Aurier, Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon, Davies, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Lucas, Ndombele, Son, Bergwijn, Vinicius, Lamela)
Sub-Total 23 Players
List B (U 21's)
2 (Tanganga, Austin)
Total Players 25

For PL (with different rules to categorise players) :
Overseas Trained

- 17 players above less Davies less Doherty plus Gazzaniga = 16
Home Grown

- As Club and Other Assn Trained - 6 above plus Davies, Rodon & Doherty = 9
Sub - Total 25 Players

Full 25 in the EPL squad.
I am assuming Dele gets a loan but if not surely Jose's decision is drop Gazza or Whiteman to potentially accommodate Eriksen?
Obviously if Sanchez leaves the club then no issue with including the Dane in the EPL squad.
