how wrong has that proven to be. lets be honest over the last few years weve had a very good core but the rest of the squad has been average if not below average. you go through our squad its probably touching 10 players maybe more who are not good enough for where we want to be..scary

not one of them players would get into a top four side. yet most weeks we probably have 3-5 of them in our first 11
Yes Levy was wrong but you could understand the reason for taking the risk.

From your list, I think another manager could turn Dele, Winks, and Bergwjin into good players. The rest would probably be decent squad players. These guys have all done good for us at some point, I highly doubt they all declined for no reason.

dele has been shite for years, thats not a dip in form. winks has never been or ever will be good enough and as for bergwijn, hes the most conservative forward ive ever seen. he looks like he has something about him but his mentality is far too passive

It was a calculated risk. I won’t blame Levy for bringing in Jose because he thought we had enough talent but needed a proven winner to lead the team. So far, it hasn’t worked out unless you count making the league cup final as working.

It was either bring in a proven winner, and Jose was all that was available, or bring in someone new and probably have to turn the squad over which would take longer to rebuild.
That's what I mean. Levy was totally wrong on how good our players are & also on who the manager should be. He is out of touch & it's mistake after mistake.
His recent judgments on players & managers is shocking. It has cost us a small fortune & a lot of wasted time & arguably our best manager in many years.

Fair enough if you think levy will take us to the next level but I will have to respectfully disagree.

when a club pays 40 million for a donkey at the back whos incompetent with a football at their feet you know somethings wrong
That is the problem. Our recruitment.

People say Levy is a tight, bald, skinflint, who's only interested in profits. Then he goes and pays £40m for a "donkey". A bit of a contradiction there.

All Levy does is set the budget and does the negotiating. All the rest (identifying and approving players, within said budget) is done by our scouting team and the manager.
When VDV became available (fuck knows who identified him) Levy went to Redknapp and asked if he wanted him. He didn't sign him without asking Harry.

So who's really to blame for blowing that amount of money on a player.

No one can dispute this team has been heading in the wrong direction these last couple of years. And I get there's gonna be loads of Anti -Jose sentiment out there tonight.
But seriously. Would merely sacking Jose just be papering over the cracks? Would it only serve in buying Levy another couple of years to realise his self proclaimed dream of creaming the profits from his Multi sports and Entertainment complex?
Personally I'm getting fed up just being the best run club in football.
New owners, New start, New future

Can you give me an example of which boards are good/better than Levy etc?

*Not City or Chelsea - in the real world

Liverpool’s board look better beater of Klopp. He took a bunch of average players and a few WC players and made them the best team in the world.

If it wasn’t for Klopp, LFC’s board would be average.
Nah, they treated klopp far better than we treated poch. Also willing to pay a lot more in wages. Backed him on world record transfers & crucially at the key moment. Not when it was way too late & the moment of being in a strong position had passed.

I disagree, no reason Winks can’t be level with Hojbjerg. He showed plenty of promise early in his career and we all know that.

Dele played well for long stretches last season but now he’s suddenly not even good enough to make the bench?

LFC's board appointed Klopp.
LFC's board sanctioned world record fees for goalkeeper and defender for the specific players that their manager wanted, they didn't go back and say no, but we will give you a list of these much cheaper alternatives.

Nope but i can guarantee you the manager is going before the board ever do.

So for all those who want the board sacked, please try and explain how you plan to arrange this, who will replace them and what timescale you have for this miracle to occur.
Your missing the point. You can't get the manager sacked & I can't get the board sacked. We are powerless.
You keep asking me to tell you how I plan to do something I can't. Despite you not being able to do yours either.
Anyway. No point going around in circles!

Imagine thinking ours are doing a better job. Proof is in the pudding!
