But Kane isn’t scoring more than Vinny at the minute though
Kane has 5 in 12, played 90 minutes in all but one
Vinny 6 in his last 7 where he’s played over 45 minutes, played 90 three times
Now you’re going to post that Vinny was against farmers, then yet again I’m going to post that Kane hasn’t scored against a top ten team or a team that was currently higher than 8th when we played them all season.
And you’re going to excuse it and say he’s scoring loads................
Id happily rotate, if you like what you see, don’t complain about it
Hey, this is a discussion isn't it?
I just dont get why you cant see that the better the opposition is, the harder it is to score against them
And we have a pretty average midfield creativity factor, which is highlighted by the fact that our most creative player in terms of assists is - Kane. He can't create openings for himself. After him, the next highest is Son, another striker.
The problem that Kane has is that he isn't getting the feeds from a creative midfield, and when we are under the cosh from a dominant top level side, he is pinned down trying to shore up MF and often the defence as well.
His opportunities per game goes down and he has to feed of really poor quality scraps. All of these factors are real, yet you are concentrating on the very end result without considering them and crucify him with the "he's playing shit" line.
Considering his service - 14 goals is a good result, seeing as how he is having to fulfil other roles to compensate for the failing of others.
Maybe we should play him in midfield and put Vinnie in as central striker, but you want him dropped. So now Vinnie plays with substandard service against premier league defenders, and you think we will be better off?
Not going to happen, because no manager in their right mind is going to take that gamble.
Easy to propose when your job and reputation isnt at risk, not so much in real life.
My compromise would be Kane in MF behind Bale or Scarlett- but I wouldn't drop him whilst he's fit.
