Toby’s pace issue is meaningless when we don’t move up the pitch fast enough anyway. He won’t sit any deeper than Sanchez does. Not as good as he was I agree but still a really solid and intelligent player

But he might actually mark someone rather than ball watching like SanchezToby’s pace issue is meaningless when we don’t move up the pitch fast enough anyway. He won’t sit any deeper than Sanchez does.
So happy for you that the operations went well, and hope that things work out for your friend.Bunch of overpaid millionaires run by a guy trying to get rich of property investment.
Will always love Spurs but they are not ruining my life.
Thought I might lose my sight this past year, luckily operations sorted that, friend had a similar issue but developed tumours and she’s came back positive for cancer now on - a ticking clock if it hits her kidneys,
I was lucky. Operations on my eyes and I’m fingers crossed all good for the future.
Sight or Spurs. Sight wins every time.
Hope you can find a way to make Spurs ease into a nothingness in the bigger scale of things.
Lockdown and this experience has 100% pushed me back into volunteering at lower league football and giving something back to the local community when we get back to normal
Of all the things out of my control Spurs are the least of my worries.
So happy for you that the operations went well, and hope that things work out for your friend.
You're so right that health is the most important thing, something we tend to take for granted, until something goes wrong.
I think it was Dino Zoff that said football was probably the most important of the unimportant things in life.
These did not age well....No, it's a certainty!
I could write a book on how I'm feeling right now, talk about mood swings!Mrs P may I ask about how are you feeling about the team / club at the moment. You have been deeply connected to the club over so many years and so Im interested to know how you assess the current situation.
I expect that ordinarily i would be described as being a Happy Clappy fan but given recent events I feel the very opposite. I feel low, pessimistic and have little faith in the team.
What a film that was.So, there are mods AND rockers, right? According to Quadrophenia.
Not sure I have even seen the film. It's the album that made me aware of that social aspect in Britain. Was the thing about the fancy motor scooters true as well?
Yeah. You have to watch the film. Not sure I have even seen the film. It's the album that made me aware of that social aspect in Britain. Was the thing about the fancy motor scooters true as well?
Thats what I've started doing. I cant bring myself to watch our games in full anymore. If I'd have watched the Newcastle game it would have been 2 hours out of my day and at the end of it I'd have been thoroughly pissed off. I didnt even check for score updates just looked when the game was over. Fully expected us to drop points so when I checked the score at the end I barely felt anything. Whereas if I'd invested 2 hours of my day watching us labour our way through the game and inevitably squander a lead it would have really got to me. I'm undecided about what to do for the cup final. A couple of years ago it would have been absolutely unthinkable for me to not watch a final but I'm swaying towards not bothering.I could write a book on how I'm feeling right now, talk about mood swings!
I have mentioned how I'm feeling in various threads, but I'll try to sum it up here.
I was gutted when Poch went, but understood that he had to go. I also thought Jose was probably the right replacement at that time. I never thought he was a long term appointment but I thought he would at least steady the ship and win us a trophy or two, before it all went sour.
I was even willing to put up with negative football if it meant us getting results.
Like so many people, not being able to attend matches live, the feeling is of being remote from the team. I hate VAR, I hate the openly biased commentary and I can't watch 90 + minutes of turgid football that we seem to serve up week after week.
The last straw for me was the Zagreb game, what an embarrassment. I'm definitely Jose Out after backing him since he arrived. I'm now thinking that ENIC should shove off too, but depends on who takes over.
I will always support this Club, but until we get back into the stadium, I'm going to catch the highlights on MOTD, if it's worth watching. I will renew my season ticket for the next couple of seasons, but don't know how much longer I will be able to afford it after that.
I'm with you in that it's not much fun being a Spurs supporter at the moment, especially where I come from - bloody 'ammers everywhere you look.

As a fan of 53 years standing I would agree with pretty much all of that post. I am going to renew next season purely so it takes me to 2022 and I can say I have been attending Spurs games for 50 years. No other reason.
I have never felt such a huge disconnect between the fans and the team as we currently have. I don't even remember it being this bad in the Sugar years (maybe because I was younger or perhaps because we could vent our frustration at the ground?).
After being a Spurs junkie for so many decades I can't even be bothered to watch league games on TV any more.
I was hoping we would win one more trophy before I started pushing up daisies but that dream continues to fade rapidly.
Agree with this, and the quoted post.Again, this post is bang on the money.
Whenever we have a one goal lead with 15-20 minutes to go I wait for the notification of the opposition teams equaliser. I merely raised my eyebrows when Newcastle scored their second and went on with my day because it was inevitable.
It even goes beyond that, this forum is about a tenth as much fun as it used to be - pointless rows, threads going round in circles, obsessive posters, everyone picking a different player(s) to slag off tirelessly (I see Regui and Hoj are the latest on the rank, joining Ndombele who's back out of favour)I could write a book on how I'm feeling right now, talk about mood swings!

Often thought that Lamela doesn't release Son when given the chance.Tbf lamela shoudlve released son sooner
50 I think.Was it 50 or 100?
Like you I have been a fan since the early 60's and imo, the last time we were all this disillusioned was our relegation season. With ENIC and Levy calling the shots, it's unlikely that anything will changeAs a fan of 53 years standing I would agree with pretty much all of that post.
