Remember the EPL only exists because the Big 6 (well big 5) scared the shite out of the little clubs and virtually blackmailed them into forming the EPL - why won't the same thing apply now?

"You want us in the EPL you must give us the ESL" .... pretty sure I know who blinks first.

The only real chance of standing up to what is basically financial bullying is if governments get involved - the EU might see this as a chance to again slap the UK who have by far the most clubs ... for once the EU might prove useful but I wouldn't hold your breath, when it comes to getting on gravy trains think we all know how that plays out.

This Government especially need to stay the fuck out of it in my view. Only last week they were more than happy to exclude people from a football cup final for wafer thin reasons, while looking at vaccination certificates to gain entry forever more. The moral compass has long since busted for that lot.
