Aren't you missing the point .... there should be no grey areas with criminal acts. The one wally who allegedly broke a camera aside, None of those examples you gave are equivalent to breaking into a largely empty ground and demonstrating in front of a few cameras.
I wouldn't smash up a shop or church for any reasons I can think of so its a false equivalency.
Incidentally I'm not 100% sure but isn't blocking a public road also a crime? emergency services could be impacted? this is why I'm talking about grey areas.
The grey areas and context are very important to any discussion.
wish we could do something on this scale
A proper fuck off to the owners
I agree, but not sure what bad political leaders had to do with itThat’s a really bad president to set by canceling the game.
I’ve nothing against the protesters and their protests but to cancel the game has now just shown what can be achieved by fans with a grudge.
Would PL have postponed our lasagnegate game had we protested??? What if your team has a load of injuries ahead of a derby, so fans protest, get game called off, game gets rescheduled and team can field a strong side as players recover from injury???
One thing about northerners is they are tough & aren't impressed by the rich folk. Us southerners are soft & in awe of the rich. So we keep lining their pockets & supporting them whilst they laugh at us & milk us. As we will continue to do with levy & ENIC.I think they will force the owners out this time around, the entire Utd fan base is coming together on this one.....They will get bought out and move on.
We on the other hand will have a divided fan base with ENIC out on one side and Levy apologists on the other.....
What law did they break? Trespass is not a criminal offence. Looked like they just walked in.You think the Glazers are going to sell a billion dollar company because a few idiots broke into the ground and smashed up some cameras?
I hope they are that weak but they have shown they don't care about a lot more serious things so hard to imagine 100's of fans breaking the law and looking like idiots change their mind.
Man Utd have bought whatever player they've wanted and who wanted to come to them.No way you can compare our ownership with the Glazers. They took out money from the club to buy the club. They didn't spend a penny on the club. They're parasites.
Or Mike Ashley. Bought the club to use as an advertisement for his business. Invested nothing in the infrastructure, just hoping to make a profit with the overall increase in value in football in general.
Our ownership isn't perfect but it could be a hell of a lot worse.
In an ideal world perhapsAren't you missing the point .... there should be no grey areas with criminal acts.
Any criminal violent protest is not acceptable ... when you live in a country where you can legally protest with banners, mass gatherings, and peaceful resistance, why resort to crime?
You having a laugh? You do realize it's Man Utd right? They will be docked points.
Those owners may be worse but it doesn't mean our owners aren't parasites themselvesNo way you can compare our ownership with the Glazers. They took out money from the club to buy the club. They didn't spend a penny on the club. They're parasites.

There was even talk of Sancho for £90 mil. They bought square head for £80 mil.
They spend. They've bought players.
I get why they hate them but it isn't for footballing reasons.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm just saying I don't think the fans should be having a go about investment in the squad. Yes they can have a go about the skimming of profits and no investment in infrastructure.Old Trafford is quite literally falling down! They've spent nothing on it. If you're defending the Glazers then you simple don't understand what they did.
As shit has Utd have been since Ferguson left (with the exception of Mourinho's first season and this current one), they've still won trophies and will likely win the Europa this year, which is the most galling thing, especially seeing our team of a few years ago pisses on them as a squad.I'm not defending anyone. I'm just saying I don't think the fans should be having a go about investment in the squad. Yes they can have a go about the skimming of profits and no investment in infrastructure.
Is ironic really. They get the money put into the football side and aren't happy. We get money put into infrastructure and aren't happy.
Nice symmetry
Civil disobedience was common in the American civil rights movement in the 1960s. Making a blanket statement that any protest the breaks any law should not be allowed is idiotic.Aren't you missing the point .... there should be no grey areas with criminal acts.

It is not in itself a criminal offence but can be with other associated activities. To be fair it could be construed as aggravated trepass because the intention was to disrupt lawful activities, which is a criminal offence.Smashing up the cameras, taking corner flags.
Fair enough if trespass isn't against the law England. I just assumed it was. I know in NA it is against the law to just walk into private property whenever you like, but obviously I am not as familiar with English law if that is not the case.
