A loan with option to buy..why on earth would Wolves do that?

If he's shit we can refuse to buy him..i don't see how that works for them or the player, he'd probably reject that as well.

Wolves could set a big enough loan fee that they get the player back and a lot of money for free. But an option to buy also suggests that we dont trust our DoF and scouts and already worried about what if it doesnt work out.

Anyone who doesn't think he'd improve us is a silly goose (trying to keep my insults family friendly instead of using the word cunt all the time).

He's a massive handful for defenders which would hopefully detract some attention away whilst providing a bit more space for the likes of Sonny/Dele/Gio/Kane. We'd just have to outright ban him from taking shots.

He would but he's not what we need. We need a creative Eriksen like player, 2 quality defenders and another striker. Those needs need to be met before anything else.

I agree that we don't need him especially if Bergwijn keeps improving.

I imagine Ndombele, Sissoko and Aurier will be leaving this window. There's no room for Sissoko in the squad anymore, now that Skipp has come in and there's no way we can justify keeping Ndombele if he's on £200k a week and not fit to play. Aurier has already expressed his desire to leave and now that Japhet in firmly in Nuno's plans, I can't see him staying.

I doubt we'll bring in a RB because Doherty will rotate/act as back up. I genuinely don't think we'll be getting a another CB considering we brought in Romero and Sanchez and Dier both seem to have Nuno's confidence with Rodon returning from injury. Nothing will be happening at LB as we've got Reguilòn, Davies and Sess (who might end up on loan).

Striker wise, as much as I'd love another striker, who are we going to bring in? Pretty confident that Kane isn't going anywhere and were Tottenham serious about buying someone to play alongside him up top? Not sure. It would be great though.

The discussion around Traoré reminds me of what some of our less bright posters used to say about Kyle Walker. How has that worked out?

It’s a strange signing as we have other areas that are way more pressing right now. I will say as a player he is one that I really rate, I thought he was very good yesterday. Outside the one on one which he should have buried he caused us so much panic, and laid the ball off into good positions for the other players. I think he would get a lot of assists for us. That said surely this means we are losing a winger as we will be very top heavy in that area (pun intended).

If we brought him in as a RWB that might make it more understandable as it would solve our need for a RB and RW. If we then brought in Tomiyasu, who I am not sold on but like a lot more in a back 3 to play as the LCB or RCB in the back 3, I think that makes a lot more sense then bringing in Traore to play as a RW in a 4-3-3. He is a marginal upgrade on Lucas and if we make no significant upgrade in MF that means we have so many players in our squad that are poor passers/creators. The team becomes so limited it what it can do.

I do think that part of Nuno coming in involved him/Paratici convinces Levy we would play more like his Valencia team with a back 4, but I think this works with the reports that Nuno wants a front 2 and is the best option we have with the likely (lack of) transfers we would make.

Going with something like:

Tomiyasu-Romero-Tanganga
Regulion-PEH-Skipp/New MF-GLC-Adama
Son-Kane
We still have major creative issues but with Traoare and Reguilon out wide we could really stretch teams and cause trouble for them. That width would give us another offensive creation possibility outside of hope and pray for Kane and Son.

Tldr; I just wasted time pushing for a 3-5-2 that will never happen.

I think a happy medium would be to say "is a silly goose cunt."
