You'd rather we take shots from random places that a goalie can catch, so we get that stat? Most of our players actually ARE shit. It's average, but still very capable of playing better football than this.
Nobody is saying the squad isn't mostly bad, it needs huge investment, but we're not having no shots on target because bad players, we're having no shots on target because there's zero coaching and the system is all wrong. It's making EVERY attacking player look so much worse.
The fanbase is finally unified in its distain.Whole team getting booed now
Deservedly
That's 3 of 11. That means 8 of theirs are better than ours AND their subs.Lloris, Romero and probably Kane because with Fernandes and Ronaldo to play with as well as Sancho, Greenwood, Cavani, Rashford, he wouldn't look nearly as invisible as he does for us when he has to get the ball, pass the ball and score all on his own.
And Son on wing with no teammate in 40m perimeter. That sequence was hilarious. No one knows what to do. Should the CBs stay up or reset? Where should we work the ball?
No plan at all.
100%Our problems started when we deluded ourselves to think we had some world class team under Poch. I always said that we were playing above our level with limited players. We should have sold those players when they were at their peak profile and reinvested in young talent.
Levy is overrated as a businessman, he allowed lots of assets to stagnate and lose their value, and now we have to start from scratch, rebuild this crumbling mess. It's going to take years of shrewd business and plenty of luck to get back to anything like that level.
