Man Utd were allowed to call of their Tuesday fixture away Brentford on the Monday

"Manchester United can confirm that following PCR test confirmation of yesterday’s [Sunday] positive LFT Covid-19 cases among the first team staff and players". How many of the 19 were players?

Also, why hasn't their fixture v Brighton on Saturday not already been postponed? Surely all the '19 cases' from Monday will still be isolating.
Covd-19.
Not 19 cases.

Edit: Sorry, Airfixx got there first:

They have players injured in addition to players with covid.
You wouldn't postpone a match because you have no fit centre backs because 3 have injuries and one has normal flu, would you?

Both managers should turn up and say all players are injured or have Covid then just stand there with the ball in the centre circle.

We'd somehow lose 1-0 though, probably with the ball blowing into our goal.

Games have been called off due to too many players being injured/sick though (except us with the lasagne-gate fiasco of course).

I remember Middlesbrough not turning up once and claiming they didn't have enough fit players and being given a 3-0 defeat though, so that's probably not a recommended action plan.

We don't want to play this game, Leicester don't want to play this game, we have to play this game.

Is that basically where we are?
That's what it seems like.

It's not ideal by any means, but it may be a fairly even game based on the number of players unavailable on both sides. The only good thing about going forward with the game is that maybe it's an advantage for us slightly, and would help to avoid fixture congestion later on.

Well clearly they had t forfeit rather than get the game postponed. Massive difference.

Seeing as Kane doesn't seem to have caught it at all, it would be nice time for a fresh him to start putting a few goals away against an unrecognisable defence!
That would require Kane to have the ball within shooting distance of their goal. Easier said than done.

By my own reckoning, and there has been no confirmation from #LCFC, the missing players are - Injured: Justin, Fofana, Soyuncu, Evans, Amartey (not fit to start). Illness or COVID: Iheanacho, Perez, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Benkovic, Lookman, Daley-Campbell.

wow seems Covid only effect Leicester's subs bench, amazing.
