That's 2 of how many? Don't forget all the 100's of loaned out Chelski players who stagnated and never made it at Chelski. They must have a European record of loaning out extensive youth players who never made to the 1st team
Not all players improve magically by being loaned out.
Both James and Mount were already seen as exceptional talents before they went out on loan
Of course not.

But it’s pretty tough to make a determination on this young talented player when he hasn’t even started 20 games of professional football in his position. He’s being written off mostly because of one game. If he plays well in the week, everyone would be calling him our saviour, that’s how fickle the approach is.

Writing him off this early would be silly.

What do we lose by loaning him out and seeing how he progresses for a season, as opposed to selling him for (let’s say) £15m now?

Ok wasn’t aware of that but we should the drive down his price. His still a better proposition than Adama who is also prone to injury especially his shoulder. Often his gone off bcos of his shoulder.
I think everyone rates Lamtpey, but that injury record is very, very bad and I don't know how likely it is that he'll get better. As much as I like him, I wouldn't think it was worth the risk.

You think I struggle with comprehending you! LOL ...newsflash most everyone on this forum cant comprehend you, most all of them think your a complete fool. But keep telling yourself your increasingly odd contributions are much admired. You have zero sense of humour and seem to watch an entirely different game to everyone else. I think you have broke the record for disagrees on your posts. IGGY your just an odd little man.
He's probably the record holder for the ignore list.

Once you've had a series of hamstring injuries they tend to always be a risk. Just look at Rafa Van der Vaart.

Terrific player but his hamstrings were made of paper.

No. It’s increased in value due to the general growth in value of PL clubs so invest a bit and maximise the investment

So you were just basically beating your chest and talking overzealous guff then?

i.e. A) Not "paid 30M for a 2BN asset" as you stated then and B) nothing to credibly suggest an "unlimited budget".

Roughly half that so-called 2bn value is wrapped up in the stadium bonds..... If they were to sell up tomorrow; you can effectively knock that amount off of any potential sale price.

Ask yourself why other clubs who have had minimal trophy yield since the EPL TV rights blew up aren't also valued at 2bn?

- Ashley bought Newcastle in 2007 for £134m and only sold for £300m.
- Everton are valued at 455m euro (approx £381 million).

Ok, Newcastle dabbled with relegation a couple of times, but Everton never got the drop, got roughly the same amount of EPL TV money in that time and were perceived to be ahead of us in footballing terms for the first half of the EPL-era.... They even burned a fuck load of money on the trf market over the last 5/6 years....

Why is it you think that our value has grown exponentially compared to every other non-big 6 team even though we were in the gutter (relatively speaking) when ENIC took over?

The answer is because we have been developed; rebuilt and re-grown.... Regular European football, CL runs, CL final, better EPL placings, increased profile leading to better sponsorships, commercial deals yadda yadda yadda.

(Perhaps start a thread if you want to explore this further.)

For those of us not nuanced or as clever and special like yourself for us ordinary people, it can be simply summed up that despite the ENIC wankfest we have won fuck all.👍

I am not against loaning him out though. And I think he can be a handy backup CB. I was just making a point that a loan doesn't always work its "magic".
He's not the first defender to make huge errors that lead to goals this season. Personally, I believe Davies' mistake that lead to Liverpool's first goal - in the 2-2 draw this season - was a bigger mistake than Tanganga's bad pass. Of course, Tanganga followed up that header...

But many people think Romero is a good signing yet he has been injured for the most part risk aversion who would believe it.
Romero cost us £42m and was both an established argentine international and in the Serie A team of the year. Already less risk vs Lamptey on that basis.

Add to that the fact that Romero's days out injured in his time at Spurs is already comfortably more than in the last 2 years prior to us signing him, and it is clear that we have just been unlucky in that respect.

You can't possibly compare Romero, whose injuries in the main have been post us signing him, to someone who we haven't yet signed in terms of their injury proneness and the impact on the transfer decision making. That's simply madness!

We were in for him last summer. Need Champs League in order to tempt him

- Kounde was the one that said a flat "no" because we didn't have CL.
- Torres was allegedly interested, but he wanted to see out his boyhood club's first tilt at the CL since he's been there (i.e romantic reasons). Having ticked that box this season; renewed interest in the summer might see him having a different view.

Villareal are 8th atm so may not even have Euroball at all next season.

We have a multi billionaire owner that has paid 30M for a 2BN asset. I would counter that we do (should) have an unlimited budget
Lol you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you believe that, mate.
Do you know many wealthy people? I don't, but those that I do are normally the tightest b******s of them all.
Not every billionaire owner sees their club as a plaything with unlimited budgets.
If you want a club with an unlimited budget I suggest you go support Man City

Royal is a good full back.

What happens if we bin him, sign a wing back. Then Conte walks and the new manager wants to play 4 at the back?

We need to be careful we dont buy a load of players in that fits contes system and then he leaves.

There is no wank-fest at play, thicko... Just batting back BS from a blow-hard/know little who reminds me a lot of you.

(I see you took me off of ignore btw....... Why on earth would you do that?)
